Danny Byrd (Hospital Records) @ The Daily Dose Mix, BBC 1Xtra (03.12.2013)
I have always been a fan of Danny Byrd and I have always found his style unique and enjoyable, if a bit repetitive when you listen to him for a long time, though that is true of most artists and human beings in general. His new album is a slightly more grown up sound for Danny Byrd and has an admirable, if subtle difference in sound to his previous work. It is not going to change the world of drum and bass, but there is no reason that many of the tracks from the album could find their way into clubs and going out playlists.
