01. Maher Daniel & Jon Charnis - Lonely Stars In Open Skies (Luca Bacchetti Endless Remix) [All Day I Dream | ADID0056]
All of us here at All Day I Dream have been super excited about this release for months. Not only does it contain the gorgeous original mix from Maher Daniel and Jon Charnis that has been melting ladies hearts all summer long but we also have quite a superb remix. Luca Bacchetti's Endless label is one of our favorites here and it was only a matter of time until we knew we were going to (gently) prize something special from his musical soul.
His remix has caused a little bit of a stir. We've been bombarded on a daily basis with requests for it. Well, for all you bombarders, it's finally here. Initially we only sent it out to a tiny handful of friends and family. Dixon and Ame both played it in Panorama Bar on the same night, and it's been a staple track in Lee Burridge's sets all summer. It never sounded better than at Burning Man festival this year and those lucky enough to have been there will attest to the mystical journey it weaved as it meandered out of the Robot Heart bus's perfect sound system and across the playa. One of it's most memorable moments, so far, for sure. Now it's time for you to create your own magic with it. The hardest decision you'll have to make is deciding which mix to play. Dream on dreamers

02. Gavin Herlihy - Higher (Laura Jones Remix) (Higher Love EP) [Lokee Musik | LOKEE004]
Release number 004 on Lokee Musik comes from long time collaborator and regular behind the decks at Lokee events Gavin Herlihy. Gavin's music has been a constant feature on some of underground house and techno's most iconic labels since 2006, and we're very excited to add him to the Lokee Musik roster.
With this release Lokee Musik is going back to its roots: straight up no-nonsense house music! 'Higher', the first track on the EP, combines saturated swinging grooves with a pitched vocal to take things straight to the dance-floor. Laura Jones even shifts up a gear and turns her remix into a hypnotic rolling bass-line monster for the peak-time, successfully road tested at DC-10 and Fabric.
On the B-side we have 'Just Love' which shares the same chunky sound signature as the A-side, but is slightly more fluid and mellow. Rising stars Death On The Balcony take it easy and add some lush and dreamy soundscapes for their remix. All in all LOKEE004 is sure to keep you warm through the winter months.

05. My Favorite Robot - White Light (Jimmy Edgar Remix) (Atomic Age Remixes EP) [No.19 Music | NO19044]
After the success of the fantastic album, Atomic Age, No.19 Music released recently from Canadian musical talents My Favorite Robot, the label has decided to enlist four acclaimed producers to provide remixes of key tracks. Detroit bad boy Jimmy Edgar, Chicago’s Kate Simko and legendary techno producer Mr. G all appear on this great EP.
The one and only Jimmy Edgar – who has recently launched his own label Ultramajic - goes first with his terrifically alluring version of ‘White Light’. He expertly re-works the track into a robotic bit of house that’s filled with pinging synths lines, rasping metal chords and shiny percussion. It’s typically libidinous and full-blooded and is sure to make for some really standout moments on the ‘floor.
No-nonsense Rekids man Mr. G then re-imagines ‘Here Tonight’ as a heavyweight, firmly rooted techno groove with manic conga playing and drilling bass fleshing out the groove. It’s a driving track for the dead of night and displays all the man’s usual full-throttle intent.
Kate Simko, a revered DJ, live act and producer with labels like Leftroom, remixes the superbly titled ‘Centerofattentionaaut’ with the help of some live musicians including violinists. In her hands the track is a slightly spooky, sparse affair that snakes it way through a desolate urban landscape with subtly rising, hugely musical melodies and plenty of unsettling ambiance contained within. When the vocal arrives at the mid-point it marks a timely release of tension that will undoubtedly send hands skywards.
Given the quality of the source material it’s no wonder these remixes are so refreshing, but kudos to No. 19 Music for bringing in just the right names to ensure such an amazing result.

"Following the release of its Atomic Age LP, My Favorite Robot (a.k.a. the trio of Jared Simms, Voytek Korab, and James Teej) has gathered a handful of reworked tracks for a new remix EP featuring the prolific Jimmy Edgar (pictured above), London house veteran Mr. G, and others. Along with the aforementioned remixes, former Ghostly affiliate Kate Simko has been enlisted to deliver her take on Atomic Age's "Centreofattentionnaut," which will join Mr. G's on the record's b-side. A remix of My Favorite Robot's "Home" from False Image (a.k.a. last week's XLR8R podcast contributor Noah Pred in collarboration with Tom Clark) will serve as a digital exclusive to the EP. Set to drop on December 16 via the No. 19 label, the artwork and tracklist for the forthcoming Atomic Age Remixes EP can be perused here."

06. Heiko Laux with Alexander Lukat - Lucho Part 2 [Ovum Recordings | OVM-236]
Heiko Laux with Alexander Lukat Lucho Part 1 & 2 Without pausing for breath, Heiko follows up last weeks Canis Major EP with another double whammy, this time alongside Alexander Lukat. In Part 1, Laux and Lukat expertly cultivate a dank aura of seismic dread, dominated by a thunderous low-end which thrums beneath the surface like a beast from the deep.

[DJ Broadcast]
"Heiko Laux didn't stop for breath in between these two great new releases on legend Josh Wink's label Ovum Recordings, both of which he completed a week apart from each other. After years of running his own imprint Kanzleramt (which just had its 20th anniversary) and releasing through it, he takes a back seat this time to let Ovum do the rest of the work, with Alexander Lukat and Diego Hostettler as repective partners in crime for each release.
These two pairs of tunes will be released in November, so here at DJBroadcast we're giving our readers a full preview of both the Lucho and Canis Major EPs. These releases are exactly the kind of forward-thinking techno we like to endorse at DJB.
Lucho Part 1 & 2, is a collaboration with Alexander Lukat a.k.a. DJ Luke. Lucho Part 1 goes straight in, tension rising with plenty of ominous thuds siding on. This heady minimalism and darkness continues with Lucho Part 2, with shimmering delay that serves both to confuse and amaze."

08. André Winter - Congrats (5ünf Compilation) [Ideal Audio | ideal29-2]
It is now five proud years since Oliver Huntemann, together with his long-term business partner Jan Langer, founded Ideal Audio. To celebrate the occasion, the label is heading out on a worldwide tour from September on, and is releasing a double CD compilation of brand-new exclusive material alongside the most memorable classics from the label’s roster.
Since 2008 and release 001 from Oliver Huntemann & Dubfire, the label has grown into one of the foremost techno outlets in the world, with a wide and deep fan-base stretching all across the globe. Ideal Audio has also spawned countless label parties, fruitful collaborations and many EP, LP and mix compilation releases from plenty of exciting talents.
“Here we are, five years richer in experience and still as loud as ever” says Oliver on the anniversary. “Some new and promising acts in the form of dub-speeka from Bristol, Remain & Electric Rescue from Paris, and Soel & Jonni Darkko from Rome have recently joined the ranks, breathing new life into Ideal. For me personally, it is still a great pleasure to work on and with electronic music and the crazy party circus every day. I look forward to the next five years!”
The worldwide 5ünf Tour, running from September 2013 until March 2014, features key label associates Oliver Huntemann, André Winter, dubspeeka, Joran Van Pol, Remain & Electric Rescue, Andreas Henneberg, The Glitz and more, details will be announced in the coming days.
And so to the 5ünf compilation: Across two discs and 25 tracks it showcases the Ideal Audio style, which in the past has been described as "dark, hypnotic and powerful..." The compilation spans the last five years – with new and exclusive cuts on disc 1, and classics on disc 2 - and proves that Oliver and Jan have done a great job evolving the label whilst always staying true to their roots in exciting techno. A fine retrospective at the same time as being focussed on the next five years, the 5ünf Tour and Compilation prove Ideal Audio to be one of the most assured labels of our time.

09. Carlo Lio & Harvey McKay - F-+k Jack [Bedrock Digital | Beddigi40]
Having joined forces with label boss John Digweed and Nick Muir on 'Infinity Road - a track that appears on the pair's recent Versus compilation - Carlo Lio returns to Bedrock with his first full release teaming up with fellow techno don Harvey McKay.
Whilst his Saytek collab 'Nothing' featured on Digweed's Live In London mix at the tail end of last year, Scottish producer Harvey McKay also makes his full Bedrock debut on the new double-header.
Droid Decay sees Carlo & Harvey drop a throbbing groove, showering it in piercing cymbals and working the vocal. On the flip the sinister and hypnotic Fuck Jack rages with its angry and expletive vocal growling in the background as Lio & McKay layer their galloping drums and spooky synth line throughout.
F-+k Jack features on John Digweed's 'Live in Argentina' CD due for release in December.
