I got pics and video. But I will upload them in the morning. I need to smoke this nice phat joint and just close my eyes and replay the amazingness in my head.
Having just bought this HD, I was wondering if anyone knew of software options to download and install that would convert an external HD like this, into your own cloud based backup solution.

What's the best wireless external HD right now? Wanting to have a central hub for all my devices to be able to access content (music/pics/videos) wirelessly at home.

I don't believe there are "wireless" hard drives but you do get good routers you can connect hard drives to and turn them into NAS drives.
I am looking specifically at something like the Corsair Voyager Air Wireless drive. Is that a good option for a central media hub? Seem expensive for storage sizes, but i also don't need 4TB, mainly looking for ease of use (plug and play), a place to dump all my music and be able to access it from all my laptops/tablets/phones in the house. The portability of the Voyager is nice too, to be able to essentially take my entire media collection on the go.
Ya learn something new everyday don't ya. A whole new category of hardware products to now splurge on. I seriously never heard of this until you mentioned it Jenks, and I spend hours everyday reading up on tech sites. I will have to review this deeper to be able to make any sort of comment.

If you already have a router at home why not plug an external drive into it as Kamal suggested? I would not trust a wireless hdd to stream and perform I/O operations without lag. I don't even trust an all-in-one modem + router to handle the load. A router should be more robust in handling that stuff.

^Agree. In addition the stream or the wireless connectivity I've heard it also reduces picture/sound quality. A little skeptical going wireless I'm enjoying something like Batman etc.
If you do have an Apple, could suggest the Apple TV?
Back to the HDD, Farrrkkk I purchased the same make - Segate: 2TB @ $98 each. Bought two of the bastards for movies and photo stuff, Well what they say about Electronics declining in price a few weeks later is not a lie.

.
Wondered about the quality of streaming over the wireless drive. I'm not too concerned with streaming video, mainly music and access to pics, files, etc on one central drive. I looked at Apple TV, but with DirectTV, Netflix, Amazon Prime, our video options are plentiful for a couple that doesn't watch a whole lot of TV.
