Re: Nick Warren's New Mix CD
But I really don't mind. Although I wish he had found a better crowd funding company. I found Dave Seaman's Kickstart a much more pleasant experience. Regular updates , no spam and we ended up with an exclusive. We felt special.
I know it's really not about me having a pleasant experience Although because it was I donated more to Dave than Nick.
I will always support these crowd funded things because I want the artists I love to keep making music. In fact even those I don't love I think they should sell them on Amazon etc, but AFTER the pledgers have all received their CDs.I am a tad pissed that I don't have mine yet and I got an email saying I could buy it on Amazon Definitely don't feel special
I much prefer the way Kickstart operates . It felt far more inclusive to be able to see the amount ,146% of what ??. Firstly how much was needed, and then see it adding up. It would have to be some one really special for me to pledge through this one again.Originally posted by TheVrkit IS incredible isn't it??

Re: Nick Warren's New Mix CD
Cd2 isn't as club orientated as I hoped. Nicks music has really slowed down a lot in the past few years, some nice lush sounds but was hoping for something a little more drivingComment

I got pics and video. But I will upload them in the morning. I need to smoke this nice phat joint and just close my eyes and replay the amazingness in my head.Comment

Re: Nick Warren's New Mix CD
I like it, it's a lot more home listening than anything else (although CD2 does work as a drive to work CD). I really like that Danny Howells and him are doing more programming with a home listen on one disc and a more uptempo disc with the second.
It's growing on me, but I started out liking it to begin with.Score so far: Owned ZoverTard 8 times - twice in one week! Twice more in same weekend.

Re: Nick Warren's New Mix CD
Well, its hard to make an interesting comp. when you have a radio program
every 2-3 month with the same structure, low tempo beats ambients melodies,
and then a little more uptempo music, but, I found this very very interesting
I dont know why, but sounds very fresh with really good tracks and greats moments,
even with the same line from his radio show. Good for nick making an interesting
compilation. I really enjoyed.Comment

DIDI, totally agree with you, and think it's great when people support when they can as opposed to d/l for free and have a whinge anyway. Never checked out Dave Seaman's kick start project as I'm not a fan, but might check it out ..Comment

Re: Nick Warren's New Mix CD
Finally got my copy and had a chance to listen to it and WOW loved it.
CD 1 is down tempo (which we all know Warren can do) and I thought it's much more emotional than his Master series effort.
CD 2 while it never gets banging it delivers properly. Voices, Lighthouse, the two Simon Shackelton tracks and the last track are just immense.
Well impressed by this, was expecting it to be good but it turned out excellent.Quiero brincar al agua para caer al cieloComment
