Francisco Pieras? upcoming release as SX-01 is definitely one to keep an eye out for. Out on Low Technique this three-track release is perfectly suited for progressive and breakbeat fans alike. Carbonell's Not So Dubby Mix of Pump Up The Mix is the standout track on SX-01. Taking the funky tech house sounds of the original, Carbonell combines spacey effects with a driving progressive sound to create a remix that?ll be played on sound systems all summer long. This is progressive house done proper!
On the flip side you?ll fine Classified Top Secret (Love Those Who Fight), a minimal breakbeat track perfect for fans of the Craig Richards? sound. The male lyrics ?Love Those Who Fight? chime in the background to help give this that dark, dirty sound you would expect to hear in the soundtrack of a movie such as Ong-Bak. A great addition to the crates of minimal and breakbeat DJ?s, Pieras must have more of these gems up his sleeve, as this track alone could be the title track on the next Low Technique pressing.
