Then here's your chance.
Scammers calling from (202) 803-4808 (it's +1 (202) 803-4808 for those outside the US) claim to be from the IRS. They are really poorly accented Indian support staff scamming people claiming there is a case of tax fraud registered against you and ask you to pay money via a credit card on the phone else they are informing the police to come over and make arrest.
It was so humorous when I got called I started laughing at the so-called "senior agent" (who didn't even care to change his Indian name from Chirag Patel) when he said he was going to get me arrested. He hung up saying the cops are on the way and will detain me in 30 minutes. This was 3 days ago.
I called them back repeatedly speaking to a new "agent" after another asking for badge numbers and telling them that their badge number seemed incomplete. This naturally frazzled them as the guy on the line got really confused and started using profanities.
Anyhow I have lodged complaints with the FTC, local police, and Sprint Spectrum (who seem to own the line) but this number and their crap is still going on. So for those looking to end this sort of nonsensical abuse of hard-working immigrants worldwide, here's your chance.
If you're overseas and can't call, spam this number on all other forums so people inundate the line and put an end to this.
