They did a remix of Sertac Kaya's 'Boncuk' which is due out next month and recently did a remix for Alex Stealthy's 'Being'.

Yeah, they made it big time and flew the coop (as all the top talent from around here does). For some reason though I'm thinking that The Maji stayed in Florida - I think I remember reading that somewhere.

No not at all man. I just got sick of a mainlly florida breakbeat scene in Tampa, and i got accepted into school here in San diego. I needed a life change, and it was the right move for the lable i think.

Icon has gone mainly Hippity-Hop again (it can't seem to make up its mind). The guy that owns it also owns Zinc Bar right around the corner. It's a little more intimate (as the name implies) and even was host to a weekly on Tuesday nights that Bill Hamel was throwing. I'm not sure if it's still going on or not since Zinc has no site and I've been too busy to get down there to check (or Drop Shop, etc for that matter). If you are interested though, I would suggest sending Villo a PM since he is probably the best with up-to-date names and connections in this area.
