    Mad Men - Season 7

Tried searching for an old topic, with no luck..

    Anyone watching this?

After Breaking Bad, this has to be my favourite show.

Yup, following it for a while, there's been some threads around here.

Good start, Peggy might be feeling in over her head. What's up with Sterling?

(Almost didn't recognize Neve Campbell in the last scene!)

I got pics and video. But I will upload them in the morning. I need to smoke this nice phat joint and just close my eyes and replay the amazingness in my head.

We're seeing the end of the players - Don's practically circling the drain - he's depressed because he's actually trying to do the right thing and is now confronting his failures, his marriage to Megan is a complete sham and she's showing signs that she's not really attracted to him anymore and no one will return his calls. He's living on his severance and doesn't know what to do - he can't reinvent himself again and I think he's no longer running from his problems. The Don Draper Doomsday clock is currently 13 minutes to midnight.

Peggy is no longer satisfied - her boss is looking to coast and pretty much SC&P is successful to the point where they don't give a fuck anymore. This means that Peggy, who was the proto feminist of the show has now hit her glass ceiling.

Roger is seeking enlightenment and is probably still habitually using LSD, which explains why he's hanging with the hippie crowd and participating in orgies. But look how bothered he was when he was told by his daughter that she forgives him - she almost seems like she's reached the peace that Roger is looking for.

This season is going to be a downer for the most part, as the prime peeps that we've been following are now past their prime and confronted with being relics in the new decade that's on their doorstep - they're going to have to change with the times or face that their time has past. Look at the brief moment that you see Nixon making his inauguration speech - "We're rich in goods, but poor in spirit" it sums up where almost everyone is; rich but empty souled - it's 1969 and while they faced assassination after assassination in the previous year, it's not going to get any less bumpy with the year ahead.
Score so far: Owned ZoverTard 8 times - twice in one week! Twice more in same weekend.

More than six months later - he's still pissed LOL - check the last visitor - guess who the last visitor is on my profile page.

        His newest incarnation this week:♫♫♫♫♫♫
