Glastonbury - silent disco

hey people,

forgive me if yous have already discussed this I have been flying all over the place lately so may have missed it but what the hell is the story with the silent disco thing at glastonbury this year in the dance tent? I read about it in the times this morning but they didnt discuss the logistics. They just covered on the fact that they were going to hand out headphones to everyone so they dont piss off the residents, who live about 2 or 3 miles away for that matter. FFS what is the world coming to.

thats exactly what I thought but it was todays paper and I googled it and its all over the place. aparently the dutch descovered the idea.

i wonder what kind of headphones they will give out. probably the ones you get on a long haul flight. Great.

Right, found out now.

Every one will be issued with wireless headphones after a certian time of night. This is to stop any chance of nose pollution to the local residents.

its a disaster. imagine dancing around in a massive tent with 3000 people with headphones on. doesnt seem right at all.

Weak, young kids are supposed to piss off old people. I wonder what the djs thing about this. If I was djing this I would fuck it and blow the speaker.
