        Release Notes:

        01. AMAN - Cosmic Jungle (Marcelo Paladini Remix) [3rd Avenue | 3AV035]

The 35th releease on Sound Avenue's 3rd Avenue imprint is out this week and it features the debut of AMAN to the label. Originally from Bangalore, India but now based in Singapore AMAN has been one of 2014's most pleasant surprises. His 'Tears of the Lotus' single on Travis MacDonald's Agara Music was rich in musical soul and his remix for Balkan Connection's new BC2 division was equally impressive. AMAN's one of those producers where each and every production that comes out of his studio seems to be sprinkled with some extra special sonic dust. His debut single for 3rd Avenue is entitled 'Cosmic Jungle' and it comes with remixes from: Micheal A. and Marcelo Paladini.

AMAN's original begins with a gorgeous wave of mesmerizing electronics. These laser like lines build some wonderful momentum and once the flickering synth elements drop in the groove really starts to take shape. As the delicate rhythms continue to build an underlying complement of wispy sweeps create a wonderful atmosphere which carries the track to the main breakdown. Here we see the fluttering rhythms cast a gorgeous soundscape over the piece before a brief broken beat section summons the full groove back in. It's certainly one of AMAN's most unique and dreamy creations to date and the way the track transitions out of the break is damn cool. A beautiful composition from AMAN.

The first remix is supplied by another one of this year's most talked about newcomers Michael A. Following an impressive string of productions throughout 2013 the Belarus based producer seems to have tightened his production even more since the beginning of the year. Appearances on Sound Avenue, Particles and Stripped have been Micheal's 2014 highlights and he's delivered an exceptional remix of 'Cosmic Jungle' to continue his strong momentum. The newly constructed groove is loaded with hypnotic swing and has brought the track a bit closer to the dance floor as a result. Like all of Michael's productions this one is ultra polished and has a pristine shimmer about it that's going to sound immense in a club. Great work.

The second and final remix is provided by Marcelo Paladini who has been one of 3rd Avenue's biggest contributors since the labels inception. Marcelo's remix here is his fifth overall appearance on the label and it follows his excellent '5 AM / Cigarette Smoker' EP which was released just last week. Marcelo's 'Cosmic Jungle' interpretation closes the release out very strong. In addition to having a smooth and alluring progressive groove the surrounding textures are incredibly rich. The harmonic rhythms are bursting with life and have a delicate bounce that accents the groove perfectly. It's one of the those mixes where every single element just works and the result is a smooth flowing production that you could just listen to endlessly. Beautiful stuff from Marcelo and a superb package from 3rd Avenue.

        02. Kastis Torrau feat. Amber Long - Menace [Stripped Recordings | 143-SR]

The 143rd release on Stripped Recordings sees us back again in Lithuania for the release of Kastis Torrau's single "Menace" featuring the vocals of Toronto's Amber Long who herself is no stranger to the label having just released her own single in February with partner Robert Mason entitled "Eggshells". Kastis has featured on the label numerous times since his debut alongside friend and dj / producer partner in crime Donatello in 2009 with "Magnetism EP". Kastis along with Arnas D & Donatello won Burn Studios / Sasha's "Cut Me Down" remix competition which saw their mix released on Sasha's Last Night On Earth label followed by a collaboration with the man himself at the end of 2012. "Menace" comes complete with a remix from the one and only King Unique a man that needs no introduction as his productions have featured on leading labels such as Bedrock Records, Microcastle, Sudbeat, Natura Sonoris, to name just a few.

        03. Luis Junior - Time (Lonya + Zombi Remix) [Mooseekaa | Promo]

Mooseekaa is Madrid artist Luis Junior's label est. 2011. His London/Time EP [msk017] is released 26th May. No further information as yet on the remix package.

        04. Mariano Mellino & Dassié - El Globo Rojo [unreleased]

Mariano Mellino has just recently released the 'Moro' Ep on PlattenBank Records [BLZ040] with Kintar and Maxi Degrassi. Here he has made a track with fellow Argentinain Dassié (Nico Gaitán from Buenos Aires).

        05. Chaim - Blue Shadow (Guy Gerber's Barkan Remix) [Rumors | RMS002]

After the huge waves caused by the first release on Guy Gerber's new Rumors label - a collaboration between himself and Innervisions king pin Dixon - the second release is sure to be just as hotly anticipated. It comes from inventive Israeli house man Chaim and is backed with a remix from Life & Death boss DJ Tennis and Guy himself.

Chaim, real name Chaim Avital, has been producing celestial, spiritual house music since 2007. It's come on labels like BPitch Control, Supplemental facts and Turbo and spawned the stunning full length Alive in 2011. On this new track he is in fine form, reaching for the stars in seriously stylish fashion.

'Blue Shadow' is a perfectly formed house track that manages to be epic and intimate at the same time. It takes you on a purposeful journey and follows an delightful upward arc as heavenly synths spread out behind supple, ticking house beats. It's truly a thing of beauty that will form a perfect high point of any emotional DJ set in the coming months.

First to remix is DJ Tennis who has built his own great musical and artistic empire with the Life & Death label, releasing music from the likes of Tale of Us and Thugfucker. His version is much less serene and sumptuous, instead the Italian breaks up the beats into jostling patterns and layers in more textured, grainy percussion. Its dark and foreboding until the heavenly synth glow of the original returns once more at the mid point.

Finally Guy Gerber, who is working on an album with P Diddy as well as planning more Rumors events around the world, turns in his Barkan remix and in the process flips the original into something even more dreamy and delightful. It's a slight more driven and direct take on the original but features just as many mesmerising melodies.

Once again here, Guy Gerber and Rumors have more than come up with the goods: expect to hear these everywhere this summer.

        06. Ernest Luminor - Streeztz (Pako & Frederik Remix) [Pure Substance Records | Promo]

Ernest Luminor is the solo-project of Peter Cazley, who is also one half of music production duo Josel & Pedro. His debut album entitled Odisea is a collection of ambient mixes, original mixes, re-edits, and remixes on Polytechnic Recordings (USA).

Signed to Carica Records (Russian Federation), Flextone Recordings (USA), and Pure Substance Records (Malaysia) he has developed his own idiosyncratic style of electronic music.

The single "Jaga", which included remixes from Jamez, and Pako & Frederik, was heavily supported by Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Muir, Nick Warren and many others. With the original mix charted by Hernan Cattaneo in June 2011, the Pako & Frederik Remix was later licensed to "Renaissance - The Masters Series, Part 17" mixed compilation in 2012.

        07. Lonya & Graziano Raffa - Red Rosa (Lars Wickinger Remix) [Asymmetric Recordings | AR089]
