The brains behind The XX and impulsive genius who just cannot keep still, Jamie Smith, better known as Jamie XX, has not wasted any time and, in just a year after releasing his band’s second album, he is already preparing his second solo record after the collaboration with Gil-Scott Heron on “We’re New Here”. Meanwhile, the British producer has not stopped working and, as well as becoming the new resident Dj of BBC Radio 6 Music 6 Mix and touring the world with The XX, he has released the single “Far Nearer / Beat For”, he has produced Drake and has collaborated with Four Tet, among other occupations.
