The 36th release on Sound Avenue sees the long awaited return of Madloch to the label. As diehard fans of Sound Avenue know Dominique Heyninck aka Madloch is not only the owner and founder of the Belgian imprint but also its heart and soul. It's been quite some time that the electronic music underground has seen an original club production from Madloch. His collaboration with Beat Syndrome 'Waiting Game' is now well over a year old and the Belgian producer's fan base has been calling for new material for quite some time. Matais Vila made his first and only appearance on Sound Avenue all the way back in September of 2012 with a remix of one of the labels most beloved tracks dPen's 'Vasanizome'. The Argentinean producer has been one of electronic music's most under-rated producers ever since. His collaborations with fellow countrymen Alberto Blanco and Marcelo Paladini have been spectacular and his solo efforts on 3rd Avenue and Music To Please Friends have showcased an even more contemporary sound. The 36th release on Sound Avenue sees Madloch and Matias unveiling their first studio collaboration entitled 'Reading Souls'.
The twelve and a half minute opus begins with a dimly lit and surreal atmospheric presence. As growling bass swells and trippy waves of electronics begin to flow through the mix a character laden kick drops in and ripples of rolling drums soon follow suit. With the main break drawing near an influx of mesmerizing keys along with a surging wall of harmonics push the emotions even higher. The delicately constructed melodies dominate the break in conjunction with waves of windswept psychedelics. As the surreal atmosphere continues to expand and the intricate framework drops back in you're met with an ever expanding wall of dazzling sound design and groovy rhythms. It's a case of two very creative minds coming together in perfect synergy with the end result being something that is uniquely special. High praise has already come in from legendary DJ Nick Warren who not only loves the production but also had it shortlisted for his upcoming 'Soundgarden' compilation.
