With previous releases on Permanent Vacation, Sasha’s Last Night On Earth, Créme Organization, Bedrock, Balance, and his own label Natura Sonoris - Henry Saiz has become revered contributor to Spain’s thriving electronic music scene.
His body of work has lifted him up amongst the likes of fellow inhabitants John Talabot and Pional as an artist with a lucid creative vision capable of producing impassioned and awe-inspiring electronic music.
A year on - Henry presents ‘Reality Addendum’; an artistic extension of this original LP that bears the same degree of variety and ardor in the form of a cohesive anthology of B-sides.
Spread over 60 minutes, ‘Reality Addendum’ bears flecks of House, Italo, Retro-Pop, Balearic and experimental Electronica and covers an expanse of emotions. Kicking off with ‘The Nothing’ that drives a brooding chug under expansive metallic synth stabs, the album progresses toward the slowly blooming ‘Underworlds’ and the balmy, vocal-lead ‘Anubis’.
The gently warped melodies and spearing bass pattern of ‘Island’ give way to album centrepiece ‘White Rhythmic Mirror’ that rings out guitar plucks over deeply rueful chord changes.
Yurei’s frazzled hats and pinned bass pattern pave the way for the anthemic ‘Dust & Rust’ and the languid chug of ‘Idols’ before the yawning sweeps of finale piece ‘Not Final Words’ bring the album to a close.
‘Reality Addendum’ delves deeper into ‘Reality Is For Those Who Are Not Strong Enough To Confront Their Dreams’ and provides a rousing soundtrack for brimful festival crowds.

It was fun while it lasted...
