    04. Tommi Oskari - Stress Test (Namatjira Remix) [Lowbit Records | LBR145]

Finlands Tommi Oskari has swept into the Progressive House scene with his productions on Lowbit, Replug and Juicebox Music and we are very happy to have him back on Lowbit again with his new track 'Stress Test'. Keeping to his deep vibrant progressive style 'Stress Test' is another fantastic production from the Finnish producer whom Cid Inc has picked as "The next big thing in progressive house".

Dutch producer Namatjira has had a string of very successful tracks on remixes on a wide variety of labels and he has taken his signature deep and groovy approach to 'Stress Test' and infused with more energy and drive.

Finally Russia's qoob wraps up the release taking a great spin of the track with heavy focus on acid style basslines and leads.

    Release/catalogue number: LBR145
    Release date: 23 June 2014

    05. Kasbah Zoo & OniWax - New Era [Mood Records | MOODREC012]

Since 2010 Kasbah Zoo's music has gathered support from the likes of Richie Hawtin, Loco Dice, Marco Carola and many more. Today the Italian duo team up with fellow producer and close friend OniWax to present a debut triple-header on Nicole Moudaber's MOOD imprint. Opening cut SelFish is built around the strong backbone of its bass-fuelled groove. The percussive party-starter belies its name as it just keeps on giving. On the flip Kasbah Zoo and OniWax take things much deeper with the brilliantly moody New Era. Powered by the marching thump of the kick drum, hazing horns and commanding vocal, New Era is set to soundtrack the darkest of basements to the biggest arenas, all summer long. Rounding out the release are continuing the groove with the vocal drops and bubbling bass is Somebody.

    Release date: 23 June 2014

    [Beats Media Review]

Italian duo Kasbah Zoo collaborate with fellow countryman Oniwax to release their first EP on Techno Queen Nicole Moudaber’s “Mood” imprint. With support for their previous works from the likes of heavyweights such as Marco Corola, Loco Dice, the “New Era” EP works brilliantly on the Mood Record label.

Where the title track “New Era” has more retrained beats, yet perfectly balanced echoing synths, and vocal bits that give a nice warm touch to the track, “SelFish” is more up tempo and has a lot of different levels of synths and sounds. There are vocal bits chopped up and inserted into key points of the track and there’s lots of tough and rugged samples in there as well. Capping off the release is the final track – “Somebody” with it’s tribal infused beats, colorful beats and some pretty interesting sound nuance

All 3 tracks are nicely versatile but compliment each other well, showing off the budding talent of these upcoming Italian producers.

    [Inhale Review]

Italy’s dynamic new duo Kasbah Zoo, combine brilliantly with fellow countryman Oniwax, on the latest instalment in the MOOD Records series set for release on 23rd June. Between Kasbah Zoo and Oniwax, this trio of producer’s previous tracks have been supported by some of the biggest artists in the scene like Marco Carola, Loco Dice, Carl Cox, Ricardo Villalobos, and so their debut on Nicole Moudaber’s MOOD Records makes perfect sense and does not disappoint.

‘SelFish’ opens proceedings in energetic fashion and is a high-octane journey, with various builds and drops packed full of rugged sounds and chopped up vocal snippets. ‘Somebody’ sees an adjustment in style and is characterised by its tribal groove, cleverly manipulated vocals and an array of changing subtle sounds and rhythmic nuances. ‘New Era’ has a notably more restrained beat, which heavily features an elastic bass line, echoing synths, rounding off the EP in warm fashion.

As would be expected from three of the scenes brightest up-and-coming talents, Kasbah Zoo and Oniwax have delivered a powerful and original EP of the finest techno, perfectly suited to MOOD Records.

    06. Booka Shade feat. Fritz Helder - Love Drug (Mihai Popoviciu Remix) [Blaufield Music | 4250783622753]
