    02. Andrew McDonnell - No Way (Hand Out - The Sun Has Woken Up Compilation) [Amam | AMAMEXTRA028]

Just in time for summer, AMAM is pleased to announce the fourth entry in its Hand Out compilation series, titled The Sun Has Woken Up, continuing to deliver exclusive material from established AMAM crew members as well as newcomers, showing the label’s diversity in sound as well as showcase how the roster is reaching a more international level.

First up, Argentine DJ/producer Ezequiel Esley sets the tone with two tracks, the spacious and sinister “Spheres” and the deep, plinky “Twilight Zone”. Toronto rep Andrew McDonnell makes his first AMAM appearance, three varying tracks of smoggy, hypnotic tech-house, titling them to reflect his no-nonsense approach: “Whats Up”, “No Way” and “Its Me”.

On the second half, Dutch duo Leman & Dieckmann contribute the synthetic and majestic “Workers Ground” and “Numb” for some more jacking moments. Sakro, one of Mexico’s up-and-coming production talents, teams up with Chicago’s Max Jacobson for “Grandeur Of” and “Going Down”, two of the more maniacally percussive tracks on the compilation. Finally, Munich-based Fabio Carra offers the seductively serpentine “Jumping on a Prickly Pear” and the introspective “Wonder Life”, signing off in grace.

    04. Paul Hazendonk - Urban Suitcase (Scotty.A Remix) (Into The Dark EP) [Manual Music | MAN136]

Paul Hazendonk's 'Adapt' LP was released in April of 2014. It was and continues to be one of this year's standout musical collections. Paul's Manual Music imprint is now pleased to present the second single from the album entitled 'In the Dark' feat Alice Rose. It was one of many tracks in which Paul collaborated with fellow Dutch producer Noraj Cue.

'In the Dark' had the distinct honour of opening the album with its delicate beats and melancholic elegance. For the 136th release on Manual Music we now see new interpretations from Darin Epsilon and Hubert Kicrcher.

Darin Epsilon has long been one of the USA's most loved electronic music artists. The Los Angeles based producer has seen his studio work appear on Hernan Cattaneo's Sudbeat Music, Nick Warren's Hope Recordings and his own Perspectives Digital imprint. As a result Darin's DJ gigs have flourished on a global scale with recent tours in Argentina, India, Canada and all over the United States. Darin's unique take on melodic techno has lent itself perfectly to 'In the Dark'. The US producer's luminescent tones carry a deep, hypnotic quality which just enhance the wispy nature of Alice's gorgeous vocals. The accompanying rhythms are suitably contemporary and Darin's ever-evolving musical theme reaches a tantalising peak which you won't soon forget.

The second remix is supplied by Hubert Kirchner who is making his first appearance on Manual Music. The Dutch producer's deep and soulful melodies have been showcased on Traum, Open Records and morgen.am. For his 'In the Dark' interpretation Hubert has masterfully recreated the hypnotic elements over a tough, dynamic groove which seems perfectly tailored for today's dance floors. The emotional content of the record peaks during a tension filled main break and carries through a charged second act which is full of wonderfully sculpted modulation. A standout interpretation from Hubert.

Also included on the release is a brand new remix of 'Urban Suitcase' from Scotty.A. Having also appeared on Paul's 'Adapt' LP 'Urban Suitcase' was one of the albums most club worthy creations. It's chunky foundation and big, punishing beats had an immediate impact and dance floors have been following suit with amazing reactions ever since. This is Scotty's debut appearance on Manual Music and he's delivered an exceptional complement to the original version. The UK producer has laid down a wonderful groove with dubby rhythms and a wicked late night vibe. The hypnotic energy of the composition builds mightily over its eight minute duration and it's sure to be something that lights up intelligent dance floors across the globe.

    06. Damabiah - Du Rose Sur L’Océan (La Plage EP) [Les Nymphes du Couchant | Promo]

Cédric Arseau aka Damabiah is this kind of Artist who cannot be classified. Inspired by a multitude of different artists from Jeff Mills, Jean Michel Jarre, Pink Floyd, Astral Projection, Laurent Garnier, Agoria, to the music of cartoons or ABBA, he began, 12 years ago, to produce his music strongly influenced by the Detroit scene and, especially by Jeff Mills "Zenith". At some point, Damabiah's music is a melting-pot between electronic music, classical music and the Nature musicality which gives to his songs their deepness and emotion. Quickly spotted by Henry Saiz and his label Natura Sonoris, Damabiah's tracks have received steady praise and support by Tiësto, Laurent Garnier, Sasha, Hernan Cattaneo. Renaissance Master Series, Vol 13 includes a brilliant remix done by Hernan Cattaneo & Martin Garcia of Damabiah's track "Flower's Planet".

    07. Rollers For Pandas - Blackness [unreleased]

Rollers For Pandas is the new project by the Argentinean producers Facundo Mohrr and Cristian Gandini, who already have one EP to their name on Maktub.

    08. Marshall Watson - Do Want What You (Issac Remix) [Loöq Records | LQ1161]

Marshall Watson (aka Shane) is a San Francisco Bay Area composer and electronic music maker who first came to the fore in 2003 via several singles and albums release on Sheffield's Highpoint LowLife records. Since then his music has been released on a diverse group of electronica imprints including Car Crash Set, 442, Volkoren, Celsius, and most recently on Looq Records. As a composer, Marshall Watson is master of his craft. He currently holds a position as the Music Director at Sirius Sound, where he has written tracks for Yahoo!, Google, Flickr, Aruba Networks, Symantec, Cisco and many others. Despite the high credentials, his heart is still on the underground dance floor. You can find him DJing occasionally at infamous Qool Happy Hour, as well as monthly at Eclipse Salon, both in San Francisco.

"Do Want What You" is a groove story well told, with several builds and some well-timed melodic surprises. We're calling this Deep House, but it's also woven through with tasteful elements of Techno and Progressive House (no, not that new garbage, but the Real Progressive House that's made from layer after delightful layer of take-me-on-a-journey sound).

Issac, who is perpetually on top of his game, has added a thickly layered and relentless dimension that would fit right into a peak time John Digweed set, and Mark Slee's Low Slung Mix emphasizes both the funk and the chug. "Time Light" shines as well, with deepness and sparkling melodies that are almost visual in nature.

    Release/catalogue number: LQ1161
    Release date: 11 June 2014

    09. Avilo - Rubicon (Marcelo Paladini Remix) [eVapour8 Recordings | unreleased]

The original of 'Rubicon' was released in July 2008 [EV002], crucially featuring in Hernán Cattáneo's closing Yellow set of that year.

"After the massive success of eVapour8's 1st release from Miki Litvak & Ido Ophir titled Shnorkel, we are back with the 2nd release, and this time we return with the long awaited release from Avilo - Rubicon. Avilo is a name that is creeping up on everyone now. With quality releases and remixes on tracks such as Nick Muir - Airtight and Kasey Taylor's Trapped re-release doing the rounds, they now return with this original Techy monster guaranteed to blow up dance floors. Most of you should've already heard this tune somewhere out there as it's been hammered by all the usual suspects. Digweed has been belting it in all his sets and playing it on his Transitions show, and the original mix is also featured on Anthony Pappa's new Moments mix CD out now. The original and we also have 2 great remixes here from Perc as well which is complete techno madness."

Here Marcelo Paladini turns in a fresh unofficial remix. The Argentinean producer has a new track entitled ‘High’ (in conjunction with Alberto Blanco) out now on Travis MacDonald’s ‘Agara Music’.

"I have two tracks that marked my course in electronic music, The first is Avilo – Rubicon and the second is Oliver Koletzki – Music from the Heart (Alex Dolby Remix) , Both of which I heard for the first time from Hernan Cattaneo." [Marcelo Paladini]

This release was mastered direct from vinyl at the request of the DJ and as such features natural sound characteristics of this medium such as record surface noise.
