Apparently these films have the propensity to really disturb the viewer. I personally have not watched them, but I am posting them to a) see who has and b) because it's interesting.

Hellriser could be almost funny now, but I saw it when I was little, and it was horrifying. Same with "the fly".

I´ve never seen this one, but please, neither do you: Human centipede. A friend of mine who likes this stuff showed me a couple of scenes, and it´s really disturbing.

Human Centipede 1 & 2 were on this list, but a lot of people complained in IMGUR that they didn't belong because they weren't that disturbing compared to the rest

Just about all the others, while I may not have liked all of them, I don't really have a problem with.

I really didn't see the point of either of the Human Centipede movies, other than someone got a fetish that they fantasized about incessantly got made into a film.

I'd say Bad Boys 2 - one of the worst fucking movies I've ever sat through and made me realize how shitty a human being Michael Bay can be.

whoooaa really? So 1) you have seen all of these films? and 2) A Serbian Film stands out among them all? and 3) None of them were like, disturbing to you? I haven't seen any of them honestly, but the response about them was that people were warning "do not watch this fucking film."

Everything on that list except for the Poughkipsee Tapes.

Irreversible I think is a very important movie - it's one of the few movies that actually shows rape as really is - a very angry, very brutal act of violence - and is supposed to make you uncomfortable.

I originally hated the movie, not because of the brutality, but more because it came out right after Memento, which it seemed to be copping the narrative from. When I sat in a screening where Gaspar Noe was conducting a Q&A session, he explained what he was trying to do - show the worst side of a human (by bludgeoning someone to death with a fire extinguisher) and try to walk him back to the point before he became insane with rage.

Dude, I see a lot of films, and sometimes I get exposed to some pretty horrible shit - I could quite likely be desensitized. And quite honestly I don't have a problem for the most part with what goes onscreen if it's related to the story that's trying to be told and there's a point to it - the argument for me is: does this advance the story or does it contribute to the artistic angle of the film? The only real issue I have when I see a movie is child endangerment - for me that's a cheap, manipulative way of making someone care about what's going onscreen by exploiting the most vulnerable people and placing them in peril. People that do that kind of shit for entertainment, could benefit from multiple curb stomps.

that makes sense. as an industry guy you see films differently... I do too, but not on the level you're at. I'm pretty sensitive to actors, mostly because I know where they have to go emotionally, in many cases to really sell the reality of scenes to an audience. Some have to literally go somewhere worse than what's being shown, while others can fake it. At any rate, interesting stuff, thanks man.
