ADVICE NEEDED

Hi all

Im hoping to make room in my house, and even a little bit of cash as well.

I've got a load of records that I'm probably never going to play again, that I would be readily prepared to part with.Thing is whats the best way of going about it?I mean, are these things successful on eBay?I'm not even bothered about how much I get for them, even ?1 each would be sufficient?

Any ideas?

^definitely let them go in one lump sum, and make it cheap.

unless you're got some real gems, and i doubt you'd be getting rid of gems anyway, noone is going to bid on just regular records they can probably still find at any online shop. Plus, individually listing records on ebay is a huge pain in the ass. Shipping them out one by one to different locations is an even bigger pain in the ass. Shoot for a one time deal, and hope you get a newbie just starting out that wants to build his collection quickly for a cheap price.

Would it be worth my while going to one of these record fairs and selling them for 50p each - has anyone ever been to one of these in the UK?

I've got a few good tunes in there, but most of it is just the usual tunes every one was playing back in 1999

^ Rather then selling them individually sell and making no money at all. Sell them together and make a little bit of money back.

I'm selling a bunch of records right now. Unfortunately the prices aren't what I'd want them to be, but money in the bank is better than a bunch of records that you no longer wanna have. That's the way I look at it.

I know someone who was in a similar situation. That person somehow just ripped all the vinyls onto his PC hardrive. Atleast you can save it digitally before letting go of the analog versions.
