Very sad to hear about this. They're saying that he was struggling with depression. Hopefully if there's anything remotely positive that can come from this tragedy it's awareness about depression and hopefully a better means of discussing it stigma free.
If you know someone that's depressed or dealing with it, please reach out and encourage them to seek help.

Score so far: Owned ZoverTard 8 times - twice in one week! Twice more in same weekend.
More than six months later - he's still pissed LOL - check the last visitor - guess who the last visitor is on my profile page.
This is so very sad. I always feel for those left behind who feel they could have done something, but by the time they get to this they couldn't . But I don't think that feeling ever goes away. My heart goes out to all those in this situation.

Excellent point!
I read he was about to enter rehab again in Minnesota. I'm so sad for his family especially. Like Didi said, suicide must be horrendous for a surviving family.

Oh. My. God. James absolutely obliterated the island tonight. The last time there was so much destruction, Obi Wan Kenobi had to take a seat on the Falcon after the Death Star said "hi and bye" to Leia's homeworld.
I got pics and video. But I will upload them in the morning. I need to smoke this nice phat joint and just close my eyes and replay the amazingness in my head.
I feel very sad about this, it's tragic to see someone so cheerful and funny leave this world plagued by depression ( if this is actually the real reason why he committed suicide). The guy did so many memorable roles:
What dreams may come
Good will hunting.
The fisher king
Awakenings
but the one that really stuck on me is Patch adams.
That was probably my favourite. In fact although I thought he was amazingly funny, it was his serious films that I thought the most of.

Yup, I prefer his serious stuff too, would've seen Dead Poets too many times. First saw it when I was 15, and then studied it for Year 12 when I was 17, IIRC it was an essay question in Matriculation.
Back then I go to Steve Martin for the funnies, his LA Story was my all-time fave and underrated comedy.
