Ive not seen this done before. I know the live material is not copyrighted, so this may not be illegal, but Im just shocked that somebody would actually try selling their collection of live sets. I have probably 100 gigs or so of live sets backed up on CD, and the thought of selling and making money of these makes me sick. WTF? This guy is selling 550 hours of music from John and Sasha on e-bay for like $50. What are your thoughts on this?

How much is my Kiss 100 collection, since the day it started, worth?

Yeah, Im sure its a REAL THIN LINE, but more important, why would someone feel that they have a right to make money off of music thats not even theirs? How hard is it to put together a compilation of mp3 live sets and sell it? I can understand free trading by the use of programs like soul seek, file sharing programs, etc., but staight out selling them for profit is wrong.

makes me laugh too nowadays.
but there was a time i paid for live sets. back in the dark ages before i discovered what a 'napster' was. :wink:
but i paid like $2 for a cd off ebay back then. the people i was getting stuff from weren't making a significant amount of cash such as $50.
christ if i sold my entire mp3 collection on ebay i could start bidding around $400 just for cdr cost alone. :P

First thing I get clicking on that site is a security warning about outdated encryption, so not only can you buy sets, you can have your credit card details stolen too
