obviously people who would buy this stuff are to lazy to get it from slsk or something, and deserve to pay through the nose. I would gladly share it on slsk with any MN er that asked for it. I have a huge archive too, but wouldn't dream of selling it. I keep buying 250 gig hard drives to archive it!
i wonder if this clown selling this stuff bothered to check the ID3 tags on the mp3s he is selling which might tell where he got it from and who really put it online for people to share freely! Someone be nice and hack into his shit and wipe it out.

first off, its def illegal. its not such a rip on the DJs themselves as its a crime against the artists' music the Dj is playing.
when global underground or balance puts out a comp CD the big hurdle is getting everyone's tracks paid for and legally signed for the CD. those artists songs, each and every one of them, gets publishing checks in the future based on the sale of the particular CD in relation to how many CDs(units) are sold. an artists publishing check is his retirement and to an artist, NOT getting that is like someone stealing from his/her 401K. (radio shows are different and the radio stations themselves are resp. for reporting and paying BMI/ASCAP)
that being said, i gladly pay www.freshlymixed.com for the ability to access every diggers Kiss100 show. i dont have to hunt it down and i know its always good quality.
if i were a website that was doing this i would give away the sets and sell the "bandwidth" to download them. this still wouldnt absolve me from being a conduit though...
