I was big into trance from 97 to 1999/2000. But then its arguably earlier as I was a massive Oakenfold fan. AND I was into trance as Sasha, Digweed, and Nick Warren were all playing trance.

They practically do now again. Sasha has been playing very melodic trance like he used to. And all the early renaissance stuff is progressive but its verging on trance. We must remember trance evolved from alot of the early prog stuff.

Personally i've just not been digging the stuff the more Euro trance DJs (PVD, Armin, and Ferry Corsten) play. But i'm beginning to like some if it.

Listen to any of the early parts of a 4 or a 6 hour Armin set and you'll hear alot of the tunes Sasha and Sander will play.

I used to listen to stuff like man with no name, empirion & some other artists that I cant remember, but that was like 8 years ago.

corsten, collins, tiesto & all that kind of trance is shitty trance for me.

I never liked european trance associated with PVD and others. goa and psycho is a different story - prana, ju-ju, sandman, joujouka, quirk, shiva. matsuri productions in general

I did and even picked up some of the superclub compilations (ie. Slinky, Euphoria, etc.) and some of the songs became hit and miss with me. But it did help point me in the right direction towards other comps that I got into (ie. Global Underground), and artists that I liked.
Score so far: Owned ZoverTard 8 times - twice in one week! Twice more in same weekend.

Until 1999, listened to it. Recently found a batch of old CDs, and just couldn't believe how drunk/high/stupid I was then to be listening to this stuff. No shame in't, tho!

Use to love it in the mid 90s, stuff that Oakie & Rampling were pumping out especially the Goa Mix and the Love Groove Party compilations Kinda drifted away from it after that and rediscovered the delights of Sasha&Digweed

So many people get into this style of music (EM) through trance... I know I did back in the day, had some amazing nights at the gallery when I was in London abroad back in 99... As of now, not really my scene but I respect the genre because it got me started..>

I used to like trance. Never got really into it. I still listen too some old stuff that i really like. But to me trance is blah these days. Since like 99 or 2000, trance has been too repetitive in my opinion
