    Christian Löffler for SSENSE

    German producer Christian Löffler's dreamy dance tracks are an exercise in synesthesia: paintings of acoustic colors that Löffler, also a visual artist, combines to evoke melancholy and euphoria in equal parts. Though haunting melodies and infectious beats occupy equal places in his recent "Young Alaska" EP, the co-founder of Ki Records proves that emotion always comes first. In his mix for SSENSE, he weaves an engrossing soundscape from remixes of countrymen Nils Frahm, Daniel Bortz, and Superflu.
