            01. Clarian - Wasting Away Again In Moderation [My Favorite Robot Records | MFR112]

You will probably recognise the name Clarian as one half of former synth pop leaning duo Footprintz. The Canadian has now stepped out on his own, and has released well-received solo EPs on Visionquest, Hot Creations and Turbo that saw him delve even deeper into a melancholic world of experimental house music.

As someone who learnt guitar and piano from a young age, Clarian's music is very much alive and rich with real melody and feeling and that is once again the case on his debut EP for Canada's My Favorite Robot Records.

Up first is the title track, a truly magical affair laced up with dangling harmonies, glowing percussive patterns and loopy melodies that suspend you in a huge open chamber and pleasure your soul as much as direct your feet. Musical, synth laden and beautiful tech like this doesn't come along very often.

Next up is 'Unrest', another heavenly and super sensitive bit of richly melodic and vastly airy music. Hand claps, trilling keys and sweeping synths all colour an expansive deep house groove with real charm, wit and emotion.

Lastly, Clarian teams up with upcoming Miami based producer Uchi whose affinity for the dark & dreamy is on show for 'Floating in the Wing'.It's a sombre broken beat affair that has glowing pads backing sharp percussion and undulating drums and perfectly personifies the uplifting and intense mood of the dancefloor; a standout bit of work from these North American producers.

This EP confirms Clarian to be very much out on his own in terms of the spirituality and artistry of the music he makes.

            Release Date: 03 November 2014

            02. Nachklangmusik - One Small Step (Noraj Cue Remix) [Nice & Nasty Records | NANO129]

Tim Treubrodt aka Nachklangmusik is an ever evolving and maturing techno music maker. Ambient, Detroit, Deep, Minimal are some of the genres he touches and defies.

Nachklangmusik is not easy to pigeon-hole other than to say his music is top quality. It is emotive, well crafted, deep soulful techno. Small Steps represents many of Tim's friends and peers coming together to celebrate the human endeavour into space and the progress of technology and logic reason (and Ableton too - boom boom).

Edge Effect and Sparkinzi mixes were on the Promo and may be released in 2013 on a Nice & nasty compilation but Small Steps features 7, yes seven, high class remixes from Nice & Nasty's extended family.

            Release Date: 14 December 2012

            03. Vanita - Distance (James Teej Remix) [Rave Of Love | ROL004]

This crazy young girl from Switzerland is finally releasing her first EP on Rave Of Love. After a long time in the studio she created some totally spaced out tracks with groovy beats, that will definitely send you into a state of ecstasy. All these lovely produced melodies in it will make your mind feel free and let you lose the ground beneath your feet. Distance EP also includes three remixes of Brett Johnson, James Teej and Beatamines. They've done an incredible work and remained true to them styles. So, lean back - take a drink and listen

            04. Antrim & Claudio Cornejo - Kalahari (Nicholas Van Orton Remix) [Balkan Connection | Promo]

Forthcoming remix by autodidact artist Nicholas Van Orton ak Ariel Gandolfo, from Buenos Aires, Argentina. Ariel also manages Balkan Connection South America, Entangled and Ape.Choons record labels.

            05. Shlomi Aber - Tel Aviv Garden (Nic Fanciulli Remix) [Saved Records | SAVED110]

Shlomi Aber makes his Saved debut with a brand new remix package of a classic. 'Tel Aviv Garden' was originally released back in 2006, and has seen numerous mixes over the years; Saved are proud to bring you the newest and latest mixes from Shlomi himself and Saved label boss, Nic Fanciulli.

First up is Shlomi Aber's 2006 Twisted Mix; a subtle take on the original, Shlomi weaves the hypnotic melodies into a dance-floor friendly version combining thumping drums and insatiable drops to great effect. In true Aber- style, the remix is brilliantly executed with a gentle nod to the original.

Over on the b-side we have Saved label-head Nic Fanciulli's version. Fresh off the back of his huge remix for Hot Natured - Benediction, Fanciulli continues to impress with his remixing abilities and this stripped back version. Subtly changing the arrangement, and adding a set of powerful drums, the head honcho has delicately made Shlomi's classic his own specifically with the dancefloor in mind.

            08. Stanisha - Guardian Of The East [Morninglory Music | Promo]

            09. Deas - Freon (Deepfunk Remix) [Particles | PSI1439]

Inspired by such greats as Portishead, Dubfire and Lutzenkirchen, Deas' melting pot of ideas and cosmopolitan background has seen the Krackow based artist create a sound founded upon an amalgamation of house, techno and progressive sounds.

Following this path, Particles now introduces Deas' new work "Freon", including a remix from Maltese icon, Deepfunk.

An accomplished DJ as well as production artist, Deas has provided sets that encompass the gamut of electronic dance genres, leading to a rare combination of "creativity and originality" that has left an indelible stamp upon its audience. As a producer, a catalogue of leading imprints has borne the Deas name including Baroque, Nueva and Bosphorus Underground.

Moreover, the Secret Room label forged by the native Greek has become a platform for his own work while also featuring icons of the techno genre including Pig and Dan and Roland Clark. 2013's "The Yellow Dragon" EP provided a scintillating debut for Particles with further remixes from David Granha and Anthony Yarranton, and now, Deas follows up a remix of Tuxedo earlier in 2014 with new offering "Freon". Redolent in sumptuous bouncing bass, trademark spot effects litter the stereo spectrum, carving out rhythmic patterns alongside distinctive techno beats. Pitched in aggressive fashion throughout, the addition of a pulsating pad that rises and falls in unison with multi-faceted layers, Deas' "Freon" is full of intrigue and tension.

Born and raised on the Mediterranean island of Malta, Macolm Abdilla has forged a considerable reputation for himself under his Deepfunk production moniker. Early experimentations in music with "any piece of electronic equipment" he could lay his hands upon, meant Deepfunk's debut, "Spirits" EP in 2007, laid the foundations for a host of subsequent releases to feature on some of the most important underground dance labels. Stripped, microCastle, Mesmeric and Replug have all featured Deepfunk's work leading to support from the luminaries within the industry including Charlie May, Guy J and Henry Saiz.

Running the celebrated SIXTYSENVENSUNS imprint has further extended Deepfunk's notoriety among the musical elite, featuring such celebrated artists as Sahar Z and Guy Mantzur while also providing a platform for him to launch the versatile "Imagination Creates Reality" album in August 2014. A recognised DJ playing alongside the likes of James Holden, John Digweed and Nick Warren, Deepfunk's debut for Particles in the shape of a 2013 remix of Uvo's "When I Start to Forget", is now followed by a unique interpretation of "Freon".

Cleverly capturing the essence of Deas' original, a newly worked bass line, sympathetic to the original, delivers a beautifully worked groove that drives effortlessly forward, accompanied by a lilting percussive groove. The sweeping pitched effects of the original are in full evidence, cleverly immersed in a swathe of additional production material that perfectly illustrates Deas' continued appeal to the underground dance community. As Deas displays talents for all to hear, "Freon" is refrigerated to maximum effect with an achingly cool remix from Deepfunk.
