    Release Notes

    01. Jemmy - Breathe In ft. Leza Boyland (Zombies in Miami Remix) [Bedrock Records | Beddigi54]

After releasing 'Waterloo Blues' and 'Quarry Bank' in the past 2 years, Jemmy returns to Bedrock in 2014 with 'Breathe In' featuring the vocals of Leza Boyland.

Alongside the excellent original with it's luscious chords and trippy layered vocals comes a remix from Zombies in Miami who toughen it up a bit and focus mainly on a tight percussive groove using the vox very sparsely.

We don't really need to say anything else, we'll let the music do the rest of the talking.

    Label: Bedrock Records
    Catalog Number: BEDDIGI54
    Release Date: 29 September 2014

    02. Miss Melera - Faith (Einmusik Remix) [Einmusika Recordings | EINMUSIKA031]

Welcome at the end of a restless summer, welcome back in the club, welcome Miss Melera!

Einmusika starts the season with a deep and magic EP from Holland’s mixing queen. For quite some times she’s a family member, but now we are listening to the first tracks on our label, rolling trough the night and over the last open air areas like thunder. Miss Melera loves and feels melodies, wrapped in between straight and pulsating claps and proper grooves. This release isn’t gentle, it isn’t feminine, it’s combining a booming bass, hands-in-the-air lines and lithe metallic rhythms.

It’s always good to have a dessert and this one comes from Einmusik. He did a remix of the title track „Faith“ with typical skills and dark breaks. So what you are waiting for? Let’s go inside.

    Released by: Einmusika Recordings
    Catalog Number: EINMUSIKA031
    Release Date: 24 September 2014

    03. &me - Blitz (Rampa & Re.You AKA RAR Remix) (Collection D Compilation) [Saved Records | SVALB011]

Saved Records present the fourth instalment of their acclaimed collection sampler series, "Collection D". Featuring a diverse selection of artists; only two of which are close members of the Saved family, the ten-track collection welcomes a host of new friends with a heavy focus on new and emerging talent.

Perfectly summing up the ethos of the label, these fresh producers unleash a collection of uncompromising, underground club-leaning bombs. Regular Saved cohort &ME gets the collection underway with label-mates Rampa and Re.You's fresh remix of 'Blitz', Sabb returns to the label following an EP earlier this year and Rob Cockerton, a permanent fixture behind the decks at Saved parties over the years, puts his first record out here.

Mulletover's Geddes makes his first appearance on Saved with the frenetic "Standup" just as rising Italian duo Macromism, New York's Vanjee, Lancaster and Denney & Guthrie all make their Saved debuts. Collection D has a stripped back and heady aesthetic running throughout its entirety. Jacking beats, driving bass-lines and pumping 303 rhythms feature heavily, creating a spine of powerful bottom end sonics.

There is plenty of energy, old school vibes and a darker edge on display across the ten tacks too, making this the most underground collection of the series yet.

    Catalog Number: SVALB011
    Release Date: 06 October 2014

    04. Kuriose Naturale - Easylee (5 Years Lost Compilation) [Ritter Butzke Studio | SLP001]

This is our first compilation on Ritter Butzke Studio which has stemmed from the celebration of the clubs five year anniversary from 2nd till 5th of October 2014.

The first successful year of our ambitious club-label draws to a close now and we proudly look back on five superb releases from our residents Patryk Molinari, Kuriose Naturale, Madmotormiquel, Schlepp Geist, Mario Aureo & Manuel Moreno. As though by chance a selection of them feature as a main part on our next project as well - The "Five Years Lost" compilation which has stemmed from the celebration of the clubs five year anniversary which will take place from 2nd till 5th of October 2014.

This compilation contains 12 multifarious tracks by well-known and fresh producers out of the Ritter Butzke sphere. From Deep and Tech-House, across Minimal to Techno, right up to Disco and Progressive - everything is featured here. We want to showcase a wide range of quality electronic music in the release that well represents the sound of the club, past, present and of course future.

Unfortunately it would break the mould if we go into every single track stylistically - that's why we just want to briefly introduce the artists one by one:

firstly “CrossfronTier" Marc Poppcke, "friend of the family" Bela Brandes, "Dikso-Boy" Daniel Solar, "kind soul" Don Brazo, "the dynamic duo" Mario Aureo & Manuel Moreno, "the bold wolves" Kuriose Naturale, "Mr. Vibe" Patryk Molinari, "Freundentaumler" Chris Hanke, "Plötzlich princesses" Beddermann & Dahlmann, "master clean" Putzlicht, "team exit" Wasted Ruffians and "head chef" Andre Schaaf.

In short, a real plethora of names and music that you don't need to enhance by words but rather let the musical contributions speak for themselves. We are truly happy to see this project grow and continue to do so into next year and beyond.

    05. Ezikiel - Calm In The Storm (Alex Neri & Federico Grazzini Remix) [Tenax Recordings | TNX063]

Ezikiel moved his first steps on Negril’s Beach, Jamaica, and was raised by positive sounds of reggae and dub. Thanks to his mother’s African roots and his father’s large musical culture he developed a deep passion for music. After being active in his hometown’s illegal techno parties he moved to Zürich, the swiss electronic music capital and had his first release on Cadenza Music.

    06. Marc Romboy - Hypernova (10 Yrs Systematic Compilation) [Systematic Recordings | SYST00202]

We have just heard that John Digweed set the roof off with this track at Verboten in New York last weekend. Good pick, Sir! [Marc Romboy]

Marc Romboy's imprint Systematic Recordings may celebrate a lot of jubilees this year. After just having released the 100th 12" single featuring two new tracks by Stephan Bodzin and Marc himself it's now time for an extended 10th anniversary compilation with various artists.

"I just called a couple of producers I like a lot like Audiojack and Jimpster plus many friends who have already released many tracks on Systematic before, like Robert Babicz, Stephan Bodzin and Dusty Kid and I'm fairly happy about the high quality of all songs they've given to me" reports Marc Romboy.

In total there are 20 exclusive and unreleased tracks from the further likes of John Tejada, Patrice Bäumel, Wehbba and Gorge & Nick Curly plus a downloadable DJ Mix including assorted tracks by Marc. Something to highlight is without a doubt a brand new track by Marc's pal Stephan Bodzin. He has contributed a new track called "Sungam", the opener of the compilation and it's his first solo track for quite a while. Be ready!

    Released by: Systematic Recordings
    Release date: 6 October 2014

    07. Funk D’Void - Breathe (Joyless Remix) [Outpost Recordings | OUTPOST023]

Newie with remix from Joyless - original version and info to follow! [Funk D'Void]

    08. Yard One - Rozenstraat (Apportion EP) [Tact Recordings | TACTDIGI005]

Late October will see the release of Yard One x Adventures In Daydreams' 'Apportion' EP, a four- track collection with two cuts from each artist, these being the brainchild behind the Tact Recordings imprint.

After three years heading up the Tact Recordings imprint which has released material from the likes of Duijn & Douglas, Tevo Howard, Mr.G, Isherwood and Oli Furness to date, label founder Jordan Bruce steps up to provide some original cuts for the first time on the imprint, this time offered up under the newly formed Yard One guise. Accompanying him on the release is co-founder Richard 'RJ' Fletcher & Ali B under their Adventures In Daydreams alias, which also recently launched to great success, seeing support from the likes of BBCRadio 1's Monki, Eats Everything and Huxley.

Kicking things off is the raw outboard driven sound of 'Equinox' from Yard One slowly easing into things with a melancholic pad line and wandering arpeggio, the crunchy swung drums then subtly evolve to provide additional weight to the groove as it slowly unfolds into hidden depths of stuttering snares, rumbling subs, swirling psychedelic tones and a chuggy low-end to create a though provoking composition. Following is 'My Desire' from Adventures In Daydreams which takes things into dream like realms with the soft chord progressions and wandering bell chimes generating an entrancing feel, while the sporadic synth licks and fluttering rhythm keep things in an ever-enticing state, the result, a charming yet powerful composition.

Up first on the flip side of the release we have ‘Rozenstraat’ from Yard One, seeing the budding producer embrace a gritty, sub heavy style. Fusing wandering arpeggio FM synth sounds, off-kilter bumpy rhythms and mesmerising classic string melodies. The package is then rounded up with Adventures In Daydreams ‘Set Bias’, a great closing cut which sees the pair focus on swirling ethereal pads, stuttering vocal licks and filtered synth licks, closing things in style.

    09. Re.you - Keep Doing It (Watching You EP) [Mobilee Records | MOBILEE138]

It’s hard to believe that it’s been a year since Re.You last delivered one of his patented dark and brooding releases on Mobilee, so integral has he become to the identity of Anja Schneider’s Berlin based imprint. But having diversified his production portfolio in 2014 with releases on Moon Harbour and Cocoon—the latter as one half of RAR with Rampa—Re.You returns to Mobilee with three tracks certain to satiate fans of the label’s techno leanings.

Not that Re.You was ever too far from home during his 12 month sabbatical. He appeared at almost a dozen Mobilee events this calendar year, from Barcelona and Berlin to Croatia and Cologne. Meanwhile, the June release of his remix of Rodriguez Jr.’s “Persistence of Vision” meant that the Berlin producer was present, if not accounted for, all summer long—proving that when a label and producer fit so well together, nothing can keep them apart for long.

Watching You finds Re.You in familiarly fine form, particularly pairing with South African poet Lazarusman on the B2 track, “Vivid.” Another example of the open door policy that house music thrives on.
