    great interview with neil young

    interview link: http://www.charlierose.com/watch/60468337

He talks about his experience at the first Woodstock... and how music is "content" today a "commodity" and how that's damaged what music has historically been and meant up until now. Pretty interesting.

this guy is cool as hell. he's the man behind this: Pono (digital music service - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia)

Pono - is a proposed music download-service and dedicated music player focusing on "high-quality" recorded audio.[1][2] Under development by musician Neil Young and his company PonoMusic, it is slated for launch in October 2014.[3]Pono's stated aims—to present songs "as they first sound during studio recording sessions", using "high-resolution" 24-bit 192kHz audio instead of "the compressed audio inferiority that MP3s offer"[4][5]—have received mixed reaction, with some commentators describing Pono as a possible competitor to similarly-aimed music services such as HDtracks,[6] but others doubting its potential for success.[7][8][9][1]
    The name derives from
pono, a Hawaiian word for "righteousness".[10]

It was fun while it lasted...
