Republican Jeb Bush said on Wednesday that the Earth's climate is changing but that scientific research does not clearly show how much of the change is due to humans and how much is from natural causes.Bush delved into climate politics during a campaign-style house party in New Hampshire at which he...
Yes global warming and an upcoming ice are gonna cancel each other out and every fucking thing is gonna be back to fucking normal! Sign me up for some fucking popcorn. I wanna gobble it up! Jajajjajaja
^Think about how long the world has had the technology to aggregate the right information to full understand the scope of climate change, especially on a global scale including the North and South Pole. How anyone can claim to be 100% sure that it's just another weather cycle is just absurd.
Fear the fear....when will the sealevels rise from all the melting polar ice caps??
From the ice caps melting?
Try this experiment at home. Get a glass and fill it with ice, and then water. Fill it to the top.
Then let it sit until all of the ice melts. See if any water spills out.
It won't. The ice has already displaced the water in the first place. When the ice melts, the water level stays the same, or possibly goes even lower because ice is actually less dense than water.
The argument for rising sea levels from ice melt would be from continental glaciers which are not displacing sea water yet.
Oh, I'm not arguing that manmade climate change exists. Far from it.
Was merely pointing out that polar ice floating on water theoretically should have no effect on sea levels. The water has already been displaced by the ice. But if glaciers melted, that might cause levels to rise because that is water which is trapped on land.
