^^^ I remember when a girl I knew absolutely adored dogs got pregnant, I joked " Ahh Puppy substitute " Didn't go down all that well.

Definitely agree on the point that Dogs are much a like continually raising a child. You truly do love, sympathise, and care for this animal like your own blood. And I love those who do. For those who don't I'd love to throw them in a cage and make them sit in their own faeces.
I was recently talking to a friend how I feel that I for sure do not have the time to care for a dog, as much as I'd love to I think I'd rather sit this one out till I find the right opportunity.

^^^ As a fellow dog lover who doesn't have a dog I would definitely agree with that .

^i had my heart set on a Thai ridgeback - but I was talked out of it and got a chihuahua which my wife wanted. But he's cool and I love the lil rascal.
You aren't by chance a Limp Bizkit fan? great looking animal btw.
We call him Nukey because we bought him from the edge of the Hanford Nuclear reservation in Washington state
^^I can remember the first dog that died. A kelpie/border collie cross called Sandy ,both herding dogs. He would walk with my little sister and I when we were kids, he wouldn't let us near a road if a car was coming. Some bastard shot him.
Oliver was a secondhand dog, I got him when he was two and he lived for another 15 years. I was pretty lucky there.

^^ Wow, protective Oliver lived a long life, yay! Hope my dogs live that long, you were very lucky there.
But poor Sandy, how awful.
I looked up Kelpie/Border Collie mix dogs to see what your dog looked like and now I think our B might be a Border Collie/Lab mix because there are pics of dogs that look just like her with the exact same cute markings. Oh well, guess we'll never really know unless we do a dna test on her.... she's just the sweetest.
