Dude, I've lived in Jax for 16 years...20 if you count when I was a kid, before we moved to Texas and then moved back. :P

And forgive me, but who are habby and numi??? I love Eclate, last time I was there was to see Jondi and Splesh a few months back.

            oh and as for SW:E3

I have never seen a series of prequels have so much potential yet fail so hard. Don't get me wrong, the story-line is great, but the fact that the dialogue was so dry, the acting was pitiful, and the 2 minute conversations were interrupted by 20 secs of a cut-scene of the outside world. What an easy buck for George Lucas. Make tons of eye-candy and the people will come. I want my 9$ back. Oh and the asshole working the projector burnt the film as soon as the credits hit "George Lucas" at the end. It just stuttered and fried up.

Peter Jackson made the trilogy that Lucas had dreamed of making.

But don't worry. Lucas will get another try. I'm sure he will make 3 more movies. There's just too much money waiting to be siphoned off. Fox won't rest until Lucas makes the next three.

I think the first three are way over-hyped, over-rated. I saw them when I was a kid and they made an impact. But so did Willy Wonka.

It was certainly an emotional roller coaster, something new for the new trilogy.

"Son," he said without preamble, "never trust a man who doesn't drink because he's probably a self-righteous sort, a man who thinks he knows right from wrong all the time. Some of them are good men, but in the name of goodness, they cause most of the suffering in the world. They're the judges, the meddlers. And, son, never trust a man who drinks but refuses to get drunk. They're usually afraid of something deep down inside, either that they're a coward or a fool or mean and violent. You can't trust a man who's afraid of himself. But sometimes, son, you can trust a man who occasionally kneels before a toilet. The chances are that he is learning something about humility and his natural human foolishness, about how to survive himself. It's damned hard for a man to take himself too seriously when he's heaving his guts into a dirty toilet bowl."

saw it first show this morning and i gotta say, for what its worth it was a fun movie. a good way to tie the story together. but as far as filmmaking goes, if starwars didnt have an already established history these films would have bombed. all 3 of the new ones. i sat with some buddies and picked holes in the story for over an hour after the movie. its terrible filmmaking at its worst. the only thing lucas does right is the visual effects.

DAMN!!! For a series of movies that people say has gotten worse as it has gone on, there sure is a helluva lot of interest. 16 mil just over night??!!

Can't you cut the godfather of the blockbuster a break? Why all this hatin?

I loved it. I wanted redemption from the first two, which were close to pitiful, and I found that and more.

And for those who loved the matrix - who can you thank for it? Mr. Lucas. For those who loved LOTR - who can you thank? Lucas, who created ILM. Say what you will about the films - but Lucas had a serious hand in making movies what they are today.

And food for thought: Spielberg cried at the end.
