^^^ tried to call you thurs to see if you were in and just must have missed u on Fri...
missed a great party, I was there from start until about 645 am and all DJs were in top form... Evil P came out and got the crowd in a great mood and even mixed in a 50 Cent / Game beat towards the end of his session which had the place buzzin...
Copeland was playing great tracks and really set the mood for what was to be a great night for progressive house...
Digweed, UNREAL... track after track, beat after beat... by about 5 am he got into some really dark deep stuff and was throwing out track after track that had the whole place buzzing... WOW to the end of his set as well (he played from about 2 to just after 6) not only the last 5 or 6 tracks but that second last track or third last track he played was incredible... i didnt expect anything less from Digweed, had me moving and going insane all night...
overall a great time, crowd was good and there seemed to be a lot of Digweed fans in attendence so it was nice to have that buzz around all night... place was jammed but opened up as the night went on, surprisingly there were a lot of people that stayed until the end of Digger's set and then when Copeland came back on after him and BANGED out a couple great beats that everyone buzzed too...
like i said great night, thanks to gregor for hookin me up with tickets, always appreciated...
    until next time... cheers
    Enjoy

Friday was one of the biggest nights in the history of the club. Breathe has hosted several of the top DJs in the world, but John Digweed has to be the highest profiled talent of them all. He is the most influential artist in the Progressive scene and quite possibly the most skilled. Props to our head promoters and management for putting this one together; bringing in Diggers definitely raises Breathe?s (System Soundbar?s) already great reputation on the local and international scenes.

Evil P opened and didn?t waste any time firing things up. The club took a little while to fill up; the amazing patio weather must have had something to do with that. Nevertheless, Evil P got things rolling for early birds, who were eating up everything he was laying down.

Brad Copeland stepped up around twelve and proceeded to do what he does best, set the tone and vibe for the night. So many times I?ve heard Brad warm up Stereo in Montreal to absolute perfection, and this night at System was no exception. Silky smooth Progressive House that put everyone in the best mood and the whole floor in a stellar groove. Man it was fantastic.

The highlight of the night hit the decks around 2am. Diggers presence lifted the room even one more notch from where Brad left it. There?s not a club in the city that can compare to the energy that is expelled on the System dance floor when the tone is set right and the proper DJ is behind the decks. It was an incredible atmosphere to be a part of.

With pin-point mixing and very methodic programming Digweed presented the darker side of his repertoire. Per usual, the entire set was sewn together by one massive baseline that strung everyone along from track to track. As only the best can do, John controlled the pace, controlled the room and brought everyone into his world. With the exception of a few huge deep house tracks, he kept the set pretty minimal throughout the night. It wasn?t the full-on party that many would have hoped for, but it was a Digweed experience that nobody else can deliver. The set ended with a virtually full dance-floor and a huge ovation from the very appreciative crowd.

Brad took over again to close out the night, dropping bomb after bomb for the hardcore that were determined to stay to the end. I know it?s not how he would ideally put a set together, but being the professional that he is, Brad gave the crowd the big energy that they were yearning for all night.

It?s amazing that five years have come and gone. So many amazing DJs at so many legendary events. It?s great to celebrate this milestone in the fashion that we did on Friday night. It?s definitely an indication that there is so much more to come. Congrats Breathe crew, lets go for at least another five more.
