    Release Notes:

    01. THe WHite SHadow (FR) - The Sky [Tenampa Recordings | TENA040]

Here steps up a new French producer Anthony Godwin aka THe WHite SHadow, an artist we really don't know much about, but we are sure you will be hearing more from very soon. This EP proves his worth, two tracks perfect for late nights, and his future is certainly looking bright. Two great tracks, starting with 'The Sky', a phat synthy moody melodic winner, sounding as fresh as a daisy, full of attitude and ready to do some serious damage. And then we find 'Flying', an undulating melodic voyage with blippy arps and a chunky electronic futuristic synth. Phat, and we love it.

    Release Date: 17 November 2014

    02. Kaban - Kepler [Music To Please Friends | MTPF011]

Release number 11 sees Kaban make his debut on Music To Please Friends. “Kepler” is tough, techy, percussive and groovy, a big dance floor track that effortlessly blurs the lines between tech and progressive house. Mo’ Funk stays true to the original and keeps things techy, using key elements with added melody to excellent effect. Ewan Rill takes a different approach with his offering, this is the one for fans of the classic progressive sound with its rolling bassline, intertwining melodies and funky little stabs. Rounding the package off, Senores Funkees take things down a few notches with their deep, dark and twisted interpretation.

    Release Date: 20 October 2014

    Release Date: 06 October 2014

    04. Angel Moraes - Transformation [Mile End Records | MN2S]

Mile End Records returns to its roots and the roots of house music with Angel Moraes. One of our first and most loved artists and one of the world's most influential producers in electronic music. Our previous releases have been classical vocal NYC house -this "Transformation" Is a layered track that takes you on a musical-dance floor trip!

    Release Date: 22 September 2014

    05. Wollion & Harada - Thinking Less (Jaymo & Andy George Remix) [Kling Klong | KLING093]

Once again we are very proud to present new artists on Kling Klong. This time our A&Rs Martin Eyerer & Rainer Weichhold were overwhelmed by the sheer power and sound quality of the 2 originals so they couldn't resist to sign these 2 buddies from Cologne. Being longtime fans from Moda Black Records we are very happy to have the labelowners Jaymo & Andy George on board with their fantastic rework of 'Thinking Less'.

    Release Date: 14 July 2014

    06. Dauwd - Moiety (Saleh EP) [Kompakt | KOM 317]

One of our most illustrious releases in 2014 so far, DAUWD's KINDLINN EP (KOMPAKT 295) finds a more than fitting continuation in SALEH, the London-based producer's latest push into romantic psychedelia and deep electronic dance music. Enjoy two new cuts that will turn heads in the most gentle manner, displaying all the loving care for sonic detail and melodic bravura that already transformed this artist's former efforts into celebrated standouts.

As with DAUWD's previous offerings, the new material on SALEH sits comfortably between techno, house and UK bass styles, albeit with a seemingly growing flair for the straighter blends within the groove spectrum. This allows for an intensified focus on the various wondrous landmarks found in DAUWD's soundscapes, a highly imaginative and masterfully crafted exploration of undulating synth textures, soaring melodies and gripping percussion. The title track is a premium example for the producer's sonic wanderlust, breeding all sorts of immensely playful intricacies in the back alleys near those heavily trafficked main roads.

In MOIETY- the release's equally catchy flip-side offering -, the synth molecules start to swirl with the first sign of a needle being dropped, but are soon reeled in by the highly conductive beat and some truly vaso-dilating bassline. Whilst the lead melody gently weeps, the cut's rock-solid chassis keeps on pushing it forward, marrying remarkably powerful momentum with the laid-back chills of nostalgia. It's the kind of track that leaves you in a meditative mood without toning down the stoke factor, a multi-faceted and engaging listening experience for both sofa surfers and floor fiends.

    Release Date: 20 October 2014

    07. Marcelo Vasami - Her Face [unreleased]

Marcelo Vasami has made his mark in the electronic music underground with a deep and hypnotic sound which quickly became his trademark. With the continual support of Hernan Cattaneo, Argentinean producer Marcelo rose up the production ranks at a rapid pace and his unique sound with deep grooves and detailed drum work has never been stronger. He continues to be one of his country's most in demand DJ talents and has appeared on both Hernan Cattaneo's Sudbeat Music and Darin Epsilon's Perspectives Digital in 2014.

    08. Ariel AB - Stak (Max Cue Remix) [Lowbit records | LBR151]

Another big, big Lowbit release is in store as Erik and Lowbit unleash Ariel AB’s latest though the digital stores today. Ariel, the Argentine producer, is no new name on the scene, and we do feel you all who are familiar with him should know there is something rare and special just around the corner.

“Stak” as this track is baptized, is a fantastic musical journey, with a blend between the really deep and the really melodic side of progressive music. Throbbing kick drums and lovely evolving melodic arrangements is working so good through out this production, and our hearts are melting here at PHW headquarters, it’s just superb music coming up.

On remix duty, Belgium bound ace Max Cue delivers the first re-take as he took the challenge to create something of his own on this beauty. With a slightly more underground-ish feel, implemented grooves and an overall great touch, he delivers the stompin’ feel good vibes to the release through his work, and it’s no wonder you all going love this one as well. It is top class work as always from Andy Verschaeren (as that is his real name).

The 2nd rework comes from the great Geist alias, who bring on his superb touch to the track. Skipping the “emotional” parts of the original, and through his forward thinking and creative style of music production, he definitely creates a more tech influenced interpretation with super tight bass sounds and a lovely breakdown built, it’s top notch stuff here that we don’t want to end.

    Release Date: 20 October 2014

    09. Nils Frahm - Peter (Dark Soul Project Remix) [Erased Tape Records | unreleased]

Today Frahm works as an accomplished composer and producer from his Berlin-based Durton Studio. His unconventional approach to an age-old instrument, played contemplatively and intimately, has won him many fans around the world. For a musician this early in his career, Frahm displays an incredibly developed sense of control and restraint in his work, catching the ear of many fans.

As the recognition continues to grow for his previous solo piano works 'Wintermusik' (2009) and ‘The Bells’ (2009), 2011 saw the release of his critically acclaimed record 'Felt' on Erased Tapes Records. The album was followed by the solo synthesiser EP 'Juno' and 'Screws' (2012) – a birthday gift to his fans he recorded while recovering from a thumb injury. Nils released his follow up to Juno titled 'Juno Reworked' [ERATP049DL] in July with guest reworks by Luke Abbott and Clark, featuring the tack 'Peter' - which has since seen remixes from the likes of Max Cooper and Mind Against.
