    Skydiving

Looks like I'ma be going skydiving with a buddy within the next two months... his wife bought him a pass good for one free jump, and he wants a buddy to do it with. Has anybody ever done it? It's something I've always wanted to do, but I might piss me pants when I get to the edge of the plane

      Re: Skydiving

I'm definitively going to do that... sometime...

Around here the 'one jump' fare is about half the price for the whole 10 jumps course, you might want to check that out.

And it's a lot safer now... you don't have to worry about getting the guy who kissed the Eiffel Tower's floor at 100mph as the instructor...

I would go. I tried to go one year "SkyDive BG" but by the time my broke roomate and I could muster up the cash they shut down...it was like within three weeks too. Someone must have died or something.

Sounds like fun but probably will never go though. I would rather travel in a plane to a far desnination right now then jump out of it.

^yeah, that's gotta be the hardest part about it. it's the only part I can imagine when thinking of skydiving... I'd just have to just without looking back. besides, I'll be forced to do it tandem since I've never done it, so the dude could just lean back so my feet aren't on the ground or something and bust out of there. I'm sure it'll be a blast, and it's something I want to do before I die... if I die 5 minutes later, at least I did it.

Guess that means they'll be mopping 2 of you up off the ground. Better bring an extra roll of Brawny.

I'm booked to do an advanced freefall course. About $3000 for 17 jumps.

The advantage is that your first jump will around 5000 ft and solo. no getting strapped to some twat for MY first jump, i want the full rush of jumping solo!!

                        Re: Skydiving

I did it about 7 years ago for charity. I did a solo jumo from 3000 feet. The feeling of falling to the ground with no sounds around is amazing. The thing I didnt like was all the training we had to do before hand. Laying down on the floor on some over sized skateboard contraption with out feet in the air while some douche spun us round like idiots. Then the jumping of a small box, doing a star fish while shouting at the top of our voices.

                        "1000.... 2000...3000...check canaopy"

Still, it had to be done I guess.

Do it man, it`s a lot of fun.

I've been wanting to for years. Some friends of mine did it in high school and that was all they could talk about for weeks. I've imagined myself standing on the edge, looking down at the world, wondering if I could so it. The way I see it, just jump...there's no way to go back once you have. :P
