if you're down at the courts getting a pickup game together, all the ones i listed get picked before reggie.

career leader in stats...stats stats smats...

he played for 18 freaking years, if he's half a ball player, he better be leading in some category!

hall of fame, yes, first ballot, no.

^^^ Absolutely all the players you just mentioned are better players and have better stats than Reggie Miller does, but Reggie put his imprint on the game and on the NBA with his clutch performances. He is one of, if not the clutchest player to ever play the game, the only one who i think is more clutch is Jordan who is the best player of all time.
I dont see why someone wouldnt vote for Reggie Miller on the first ballot, he has done more for the game than any of those players (excluding Jordan) and has done things in such a positive way for the NBA. The only good reason that he shouldnt get a first ballot vote was last years playoffs when Tayshun Prince blocked his ass from behind to steal the game away from the Pacers, besides that play, (for a Piston fan like myself was a great play) Reggie has had an unbelievable career with continuing clutch performances for 18 seasons without any let down.
Even this past year when he wasnt getting as much playing time he still came through in clutch time for a Pacer team that had struggles with having enough players all year.
He is not only a ONE OF A KIND player but he is also the last of the class act players that the NBA is seeing less and less of. Lots of reasons to vote Reggie into the Fame, based on stats though I understand why he wouldnt be a first ballot selection as well, toss up that hopefully would go in his favour
      cheers
      Enjoy

        Iverson??? :?

I hear you on "stats smats" Jenks, stats do not a career make. Beyond that, he will get in first ballot for what he meant to the game and the way he conducted himself during his time in the league....a role model and a model citizen. Plus, his feud with Spike Lee was classic.

One of the classiest guys in the NBA, AGREED!!!

How many rings does he have?

            ZERO.

When did he ever lead his team to a championship?

            NEVER.

Second place, Thirs place...not getting it done.

You can't call him a champion, because he isn't one.

Fantastic baller, mad respect to that guy for what he stands for. Oh..and his twin, the announcer, he's great. :P

              Dude...classic!!!

There is no argueing he does not have a ring, but neither do Stockton or Malone, two fellow first balloters. Besides, in his 18 year career name anyone who he had pulling some of the weight who wasn't named Chris Mullens, Rick Smits or Jermaine O'Neil. Even jordan had a supporting cast.

We'll see. Hopefully we'll still be on here when he becomes eligible and we can place a friendly wager.

He'll get in ...first ballot. No wagering needed.

I'm just saying, he wouldn't get my vote for first ballot.
