    Unbroken

I was dragged into the theater to see this film with a friend of mine. And although I have the utmost respect for the soldiers that endured the Japanese POW camps. This movie is truly terrible.

I have a ton of respect for the story, it's unbelievable what the men endured and to hear the passion when Jolie speaks about spending the last days with the man that the story is about in the hospital and the lessons she learned is all great and good. But the movie drags on and on and on. None of it is original, you've seen it before. The character development is below average so I was never really all that drawn in to the story. which is a problem given how long it was. I went into the movie with no expectations, my friend wanted to see it. I recalled how good the previews looked and figured it's gotta be decent. But it's just not. It's still amazing what Zamperini had to endure and heart breaking to watch on screen. But it doesn't mean the film was necessarily interesting. If anything, it's a really difficult film to sit through and watch, is what I kept thinking. RIP
