Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith

the movie was predictable to the point of boredom.the person next to me fell asleep and he didn't miss much really. I was listening Deep Dish with my ipod for 3/4 of a movie. It`s lacked continuity, particulaly why does it take 18 years to finish the death star and why doesn't the emperor dissolve the senate way before the start of Episode 4? Overall 2.5 hours completely wasted. The only good thing about the experience was that the preview for the War of the Worlds and Calvin Klein new parfum advert
    p.s. don`t waste ur money.

It was decent. It was also the film many have been hungering for, though not many cared for the Chosen One Fall From Grace and would have rather a badass from the start.

George Lucas still writes some of the shittiest dialogue on celluoid, though.

i thought it was the movie we were waiting for..action packed with a good plot ... of course it was predictible...the story has been known for years!!! ..and yes my friend and i were wondering the same thing ..why did it take so long to build the death star ...
one thing i wonder is why they kept bringing up the ability of some sith lord to resurect people?? ..and then at the end quai gon (sp) is alive and is learning the same technique?? ...in episode 4 there is no mention of quai gon being in tatooine... i think he is making us believe some shit for episode 7.

overal i thought it was good

I'm not a huge SW junkie or anything, but I thought it was awesome. Much better than the last two, and helped fill in some gaps in the story. Even my fiance, who isn't into sci-fi stuff at all, loved it.

i think it was alright....not the BEST MOVIE EVER though...

I think they should have used less technology and more animatronics and artists, some part are VERY unreal...

The music through out the movie was fine, it helped a lot in a few scenes..

You can't have manslaughter without laughter.

"Son," he said without preamble, "never trust a man who doesn't drink because he's probably a self-righteous sort, a man who thinks he knows right from wrong all the time. Some of them are good men, but in the name of goodness, they cause most of the suffering in the world. They're the judges, the meddlers. And, son, never trust a man who drinks but refuses to get drunk. They're usually afraid of something deep down inside, either that they're a coward or a fool or mean and violent. You can't trust a man who's afraid of himself. But sometimes, son, you can trust a man who occasionally kneels before a toilet. The chances are that he is learning something about humility and his natural human foolishness, about how to survive himself. It's damned hard for a man to take himself too seriously when he's heaving his guts into a dirty toilet bowl."

Well, i've now seen it twice and barring a few poor bits of dialogue and a couple of poor bits of CGI i think this is a superb film, and certainly on a par with Empire. Second time around Anakin's turn to the dark side made more sense. The CGI in the main is faultless. Yes, its gonna look like CGI but that mainly because we've got no frame of reference to compare a half mile long space ship or giant lizard to. Lets face it the original trilogy had some poor dialogue and although Lucas hasn't improved his dialogue writting skills its still a lot better than most of the summer blockbusters we've been subjected to in recent years (Matrix anyone?)

Re: Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith

just saw episode III for the first time and i must say it was predictable and entertaining, but somewhat over the top

anakin's change to the dark side was definitely sad, it made me hate Chancellor Palpatine

i couldn't believe it when Anakin turned on Padme, and the end of the Anakin vs. ObiWan sabre fight was terribly weak

was Anakin under some sort of spell that Lord Sidious put on him?

because after Anakin and Sidious kill Mace Windu, Anakin becomes zombie-like. i didn't quite understand that oh well...

all in all i enjoyed it

boy did this movie ever suck.

lame dialogue, poor acting and too many quick convenient fixes.

I've seen grannies in walkers with quicker & slicker moves than Samuel L Jackson... it was really uncomfortable to watch him fight. I wanted to console his family, and let his wife cry on my shoulder. She's probably got big tits, and I'd be coping cheap feels the whole time. And I wouldn't feel guitly, because Samuel L Jackson offended me with whatever it is that he calls acting...

Anakin.. what a fucking tool.. so easyily turned to the darkside. Man, if I knew that guy, he'd be cutting my lawn and folding my laundry because I would have told him in exchange I'd teach him to ressurect the dead, and the gullible dumb shit would believe me.

And when Darth Vader is 'born' at the end, and cries out "Noooo!" when he finds out his bitch is dead.. that was painful. My sperm count dropped right then and there...

                            This movie sucked
We are the ones we've been waiting for.

Sooper I think you have it right for the most part. This seemed way to quick and easy to turn annie.

It was nice to see the saber duels but, I can't help but be let down by the whole thing. The mace and darth sidious fight was lame, I was expecting much more considering mace was supposedly equal to yoda only more brauny - where the hell do we get to see this really? Yoda turns out to be a great fighter but seriously I get that being small doesn't equal being weak if you have the force, I got it already GL.

The other crap part was when all the jedi masters were betrayed. They basically just stood there and got raped. What the hell happen to the force for these guys and girl? no one managed to make it at least two feet without being cut down by 4 or 5 clone troopers - what the hell good is it to have the force if you can face your attackers and not get what was going the second they pointed their weapons at you!

Then we get the babies being given out, Obi-wan looks like he is about 30 yet he ages 50 years between the birth of the babies and the first time a young luke turns up at his place in the next episode. WTH.

The effects were a bit lame in spots, it look like they just wanted to finish and be done with it all. The clone troopers looked really fake, I believe it when cg artist laugh at GL for this now.

I could go on, but what is really the point. The movie was OK cg wise but nowhere near what I expected in story and acting. It had about as much passion and feeling as a cardboard box.
