The Dead, formerly Known as the Grateful Dead, to play last ever shows summer 2015
Re: The Dead, formerly Known as the Grateful Dead, to play last ever shows summer 201
We are trying to get them via the mail in option ... you basically put money in a envelope, mail it in, and then wait .. you either get money back or tickets. I think this is before they start selling them on the web, etc.
Now, I am sure that there will be enough tickets, the issues is the "pit tickets".. which is where you want to be.. these are available only trough the mail in service.

They also did two shows here in Cali at the new Levi's stadium... the show on Sunday was outstanding.. probably the best live performance I've see thus far.

@ that last image, fucking a.
I still don't fully get why grilled cheese is such a hippy thing, our family ate grilled cheese every sunday night.
That rainbow is amazing, did it rain? Or was it rainy that day? Pretty epic. The visuals look on point, did you take any video, im sure there is plenty online, will have a look now. Thanks for the pics man.
Sic - Trey made an appearance I see, or is he part of the band now?

^^ Thanks for the pics go0gle!
interesting back story:
"This weekend, as he plays the first two Fare Thee Well shows with his surviving band mates in the Grateful Dead, Weir won't have his father waiting proudly for him backstage. But he'll have memories of the precious time he got to spend with him in the last 20 years of his life. And that's something to be grateful for. "

After a long silence, Parber said, "The only Robert Weir I know is the guy who sings and plays with the Grateful Dead.""Well, sir," Weir responded, "that would be me." Like father, like son They arranged to meet the next day at a restaurant that Col. Parber suggested that just so happened to be a favorite of Weir's as well.
I like how the Col went from kind of playing coy to "lets meet tomorrow at Denny's" once he found out who Weir was . Just human nature, but still kind of funny the way it was written.

it was written to be funny they both said "that would be me." Synchronicity is what makes the story, why cheapen that with your idea of "human nature?" and nowhere does it say anything about meeting at a Denny's or that his father suggested they meet the next day, it said he happened to suggest a restaurant that was one of Weir's favorites... your spin on it?
"I could ascertain with a fair bit of ease that she didn't really have a need for me in her life." said Weir... he might have based that assumption on the fact that she had 12 more children (I read from their website), not understanding that even 24 children couldn't replace him, children aren't replaceable. Like his other assumption that he wouldn't get along well with a Colonel.
