    PROTONIZED WITH ARIZONA
Monday, May 30th at 3 PM EST (Noon PST) Proton Radio presents PROTONIZED, a very special 100 minute mix from ariz0na.

For the last seven years, Davin Greenwell, better known as DJ ariz0na and producer AFK, has been pushing the progressive sound in the form of breaks, house and trance. Davin has been heavily involved in the Victoria electronic music scene through many years of community and commercial radio, club and events promotion, ravevictoria.com, and now most prominently with Pacific Front Recordings (PFR), a new music label he trailblazes in cahoots with Justin Humber, aka Sasha-spun Formulate. Recording as AFK has seen Davin release two gigantic progressive tracks on his home label, PFR, and has produced a haunting breakbeat remix of Obakeh's "Ghosted" and a synapse-smashing remix of arguably Formulate's most memorable track, "Rising Edge." Davin has been remixed by the likes of Steve May, Blake Jarrell, Jeff Devas, Influenza, Micah, Formulate, and Chompers. His music has extended globally and can be heard in forward-thinking clubs all over the world. Toss in a Saturday night residency at Victoria's outstandingly fun Lush at Hush with fellow prog mobster Braeden Parrott, mix in appearances at Lotus in Vancouver, and you have a talent echoing throughout the scene in the Pacific Northwest.

Davin has had a hand in the production of every track in PROTONIZED -- from being remixed, to collaborations, to doing the remixes himself -- including a very special never-heard-before ambient mix of Obakeh's "Ghosted."

/\/\/\/\/\ Technopolis? Sounds like a good Greek name.

Big thanks to Sam and everyone at Proton for helping get this one out. This was absolutely amazing night of music, and we are THRILLED to be able to bring you the whole thing from start to finish.

6 hours, 8 hours, 10 hours...there are lots of opportunities to hear Danny as well as other djs play extended sets. BUT...there is an enormous difference between watching a dj come on at 2am after an opener and actually starting the night off with the headlining dj. You won't see a lot of djs do that for mainly one reason imo. Most simply can't do it.

Anyone who has been to one of Danny's Made in Bed parties at conference can appreciate how truly inspiring a down-tempo-to-club-tempo set from Danny can be. If you want a taste, pick up his 24:7 cds.

Sometimes, listening to so much dance music as a dj, it's not difficult to get worn out by the music and need a change of pace every once in a while. All I need to do though is listen to one of Danny's sets, and he just MAKES me a fan of music again. His appreciation for all music emanates from the booth and infects everyone in the room.

Tune in next Tuesday for what is sure to be one of this year's most special online broadcasts from PURR on Proton Radio!

definitely have to agree with that, 6 hours into a set of his is usually when it gets bonkers
