That is something that has always bothered the hell out of me. Every depiction Hollywood gives us of alien life is remotely humanoid...2 legs, 2 arms, a head, etc. Why would a creature from a different planet, created in a completely different environment, with different "ecological / climatary / planetary effects" as you said, resemble anything from Earth??

I hope they find something, I really do.

sorry about the thread hi jack, lol.

you make a good point. That just goes along with the arrogance of thinking we are the only ones (human type creatures) in existence I guess.

It also has to do party with Hollywood prior to the age of computer animation, special effects, etc. The only way to get an alien to appear on screen was to put an actor in a suit. Therefore, for ease of mobility, it had to have 2 legs, 2 arms, etc.

I guess that just goes to prove that even God (as a superior race of beings) has is own limitations...

no mate, you missed the gist of my post.... God made all things equal.... planetary conditions changed them over the course of evolution....

I read a very interesting article about how scientists were asked to hypothesize on why an alien would look how it would look and they drew some amazingly intriguing conclusions.... they mentioned that aliens would in fact look like the grey / large headed short beings that most abductee's refer to and there's a reason behind that....

Firstly, the enormous size of the head ... its been scientifically proven on earth that the larger the cranium, the more intelligent the person...... hence the huge headed aliens thanks to their advanced intelligent

Secondly, they had fairly small bodies and this could well be because of the Gravitational force of the planet they inherit. The larger a planet, the larger the gravitational force on it, hence if their planet was larger than earth, evolution would have shrunk their bodies to make it easier to move around...

There was a whole list of these which I dont remember off the top of my head but you get the picture.....
