i doubt we'll hear anything like ALiVe... in a good sense. actually i'm pretty sure it won't be anything like it, since a lot of those tracks can be heard on JZ's Peter Pan set from April this year. another brilliant performance from The Man.

        5. Aphex Twin - Windowlicker (Kriece Remix)

He dropped this in minneapolis... sweet remix

I like the format of this 2 cd release.. mixing it up between computer and live... different is good!

yeah, I'm kind of annoyed someone at that club went against my wishes and recorded the set as this event was one day after I finished the mix (these things have such a big lead time). So that's why a lot of the same tracks appear. I just hope people aren't bored of the mix before it's even out! At least this set is getting a positive response so it's a good testing ground!

            Appreciated!

it's understandable that an artist would wanna keep the element of surprise when releasing a mix CD, but with you, James, it doesn't really matter! even if every track on it was from a previous set of yours, and even if the tracks were mixed in the same order i would still go out and get a copy, just to hear another version of the mix, and, of course, to support your work.

oh, and after "The Utilities" is out on June 25th, do you think you could maybe throw that New Year's set with Phil K at us, that Grant recorded? that would be really sweet and i doubt it would hurt the sales in any way. keep doin what you doing, you animal, you!
