    Occasional Time Outs ?

Is anyone else experiencing random occasional timeouts on MN ? Like the page wont load suddenly and this condition stays for about 30 seconds or so and then suddenly the page loads again ?

Its happening at my end every 30 - 45 minutes and driving up shit creek....

    anyone ?

I won't be back until next Tuesday, so if Get Carter is the correct answer, I would appreciate of someone else posts a new cap for me

Please only reply if you are expierencing problems with the site. We're trying to develop a database here to see if it's an isolated problem, or more widespread.

    Thanks folks.

Funny you should ask. I logged in from the computer lab at school this morning and it was doing that although other sites were working like a charm. It was driving me berzerk - I thought it might have been the downtime. Since I've been home and in front of my computer (an hour continuously now) I've not had the problem.

Yeah, I've been having this problem for about a week or so. I usually have to click a link 2 or 3 times before I even get a response. If I don't, I usually get a timeout message like you, e.

Overall it's been going a little sluggishly, so I don't think the problem is isolated.

You can't have manslaughter without laughter.

"Son," he said without preamble, "never trust a man who doesn't drink because he's probably a self-righteous sort, a man who thinks he knows right from wrong all the time. Some of them are good men, but in the name of goodness, they cause most of the suffering in the world. They're the judges, the meddlers. And, son, never trust a man who drinks but refuses to get drunk. They're usually afraid of something deep down inside, either that they're a coward or a fool or mean and violent. You can't trust a man who's afraid of himself. But sometimes, son, you can trust a man who occasionally kneels before a toilet. The chances are that he is learning something about humility and his natural human foolishness, about how to survive himself. It's damned hard for a man to take himself too seriously when he's heaving his guts into a dirty toilet bowl."

Here's what I want. The server just got an upgrade on ram from 512 to 1024. It also got a fresh reboot, so what was happening before (I hope) is resolved.

I want word from today out on problems with pages loading slower than average, and timing out completely.
