It payed off, it was well thought out and backed up, and explanatory of your personal reasons for track selection dissatisfaction.

i had fun with it. i was running around with my undies drinking my white russians. had this blasting and gave the baby a bath and wrote it up. I tried to stay as objective and fair as possible. i love Sasha, and frankly I would have him sign my tits, but i had to step away from that and dig in and PERSECUTE my own "god". i hope he does not banish me. i still love you.

Hey man, you did it respectfully and with obviously thought-through-explanatory reasons and not insults or character jabs... Think of the contrast to those on the board who "idolize" diggers but refer to him as washed up because he isn't dark and dirty when they want him to be. For someone who has never heard sasha live, you have done more than your fair share of fact-searching to ensure you aren't talking out your arse or making sweeping generalizations from one hour's worth of work taken from a bajillion... (maybe even a bazillion)

If you thought everything sasha did was gold, you'd have no merit or integrity to back up any further expression of you own opinion. Like people who voted for bush the second time, you'd deserve whatever was coming to you...

sometimes for fun, I like to make lists of fun things that have coming to them

nearly the same situation with me mikey. saw s&d for the first time at a slightly known annual event called ZEN in central florida in 1997. by christmas i received both NE compilations and when i first heard them i was like, "umm, this isnt what i heard on 10 pills at 5am a few months ago. " ..eventually those cd's became the staple and epicenter of all musical ideals. at least for me. i remember some kid taking one of the cd's out of the player and throwing it at me, and i was fucking ready to go outside with this kid. he got his later, but thats another story for another thread. bottom line here is: Jib loves NE more than oxygen. i feel a Northern Exposure day coming on again soon. remember that one kids?

Before I heard Northern Exposue I HATED house music, absolutley could not stand it. Well, needless to say that is no longer the case, because of the power of S&D.

by the standards of technology at the date of release of the NE CD's, a cd could have 74 minutes of audio.

74 minutes on a dancefloor and 74 minutes anywhere else are almost ALWAYS 2 separate and very different things. I love both of the concepts when executed properly, but i also love the fact that i am able to listen to music that moves me, but i dont HAVE to move to... meaning some sets i have heard out in clubs would not give me the option to remain seated or still if i were to hear them elsewhere or home...

by that same token, a lot of CD's, almost the entire GU series actually, I would not want to hear on a dancefloor..... but I LOVE them still, what sayeth everyone, what distinguishes the differences between the two for everyone?

anyone disagree? I'm sure someone can't wait to challenge my philoso-dance-theory.

i agree with your philso-dance-economical-ophy. i certainly wouldnt enjoy hearing North on a big sound system in a sweaty club, the same way i enjoy it at home with the windows open and beer in my hand, chillin. by the same token there are a few songs throughout those cd's i would KILL to hear on a phazon system. 'wavespeech' being #1.
