Can't wait to get this. He's one of the most consistent DJ's period.
The djs took pills to stay awake and play for seven days......

i ain't gonna lie... I'm pretty damn excited... tracklisting looks sweet and Nick Warren always exceeds expectations... Howell's 027 is pretty amazing so Nick has a lot to top

I'm looking forward to it. Warren's GU's are usually good. I'm just glad we didn't get another Dave Seamen or Deep Dish.

Yeah, instead we get a 6th Nick Warren. I'm sure it will rule, but seriously...enough already.

                      Re: Nick Warren GU028

                      Finally...

Not quite the eclectic Nick Warren I was expecting, although I'm embarassed to say I've not heard any of his other GU mixes. Having said that, it's typical of GU ? slick, sophisticated and polished.
Kicking off with the dreamy breaks of SJ Esau's 'Fat Cat Track' the first CD sticks with a floaty, melodic feel building and building until it hits a progressive peak culminating with the throbbing sub bass of Yvel & Tristan's 'Pillow'. Lustral's soaring, anthemic 'Solace' completes part one, hinting at the shift in gear the second CD takes.
Starting again with floaty breaks it doesn't take long before the thrashing 'fly' guitars of Morozov kicks in, Warren's not messing around now as there's a different energy now. The glorious, driving sounds of Holden & Thompson's 'Come To Me' resonates (anyone for indie-progressive?) before Hardfloor's genre-defining acid-trance assault of 'Acperience' sets in. The tempo is then sustained leading in to the sonic techno melodies of Derek Howell's 'Your Touch'.
It doesn't quite hit the highs of some of the classic GU mixes but definitely maintains the usually high and consistent standards. Probably one of my favourites of recent times...
                      Ask me a question...

                          Re: Nick Warren GU028

I?ve heard to full tracks out of this CD.

Kosmas Epsilon's "Sorry to be rude" and BCML's "Horowitz".
Both tracks are more than sublime... perfect stuff! Kosmas STBR is a hard hitting piece of music, kinda trancey, my kinda music.

BCML's "Horowitz" is mellow, floaty, dreamy, but with attitude and big punch. Is the best work I?ve heard from Ben and Mat... not to be missed.

If anyone wants to hear "horowitz" PM so I can send u Mat's mix for our Underexposure show... the track is in there and I have to say that the mix is reaaaaaally good too...
