well,as i have all the other GU releasesi couldn't have not purchased it. It would have kept me awake at night. Generally i would say it was a good cd,more on the melodic side of stuff thats around lately

I prefer CD 1 of the 2 exactly the Nick warren i have come to Love he was here in DC 2 weeks ago and started of great but when the crowd wasnt dancing too much he turn and started to spina trance set i was disapointed but still had an OK time it ll went down hill when he played PVD's "the Other side" Deep dish remix and too my surprise he also played "Say Hello"

i liked how cd 1 starts off as fresh and airy/melodic then suddenly i get kind of lost when the transitions became shadowy and trancey.

i thought cd 1 was going to take me some where, but not quite.

and thats exactly nick warrens skill - he takes you to the cloud, but not through it. Because of this i kind of view him as the perfect warm up dj, maybe 3 hours of nick warren then the headliner.

This package gets better and better with each listen. My favourite cd of the year, and only beaten as my favourite set by Sasha's sublime essential mix.

There are just so many stellar tracks on here - Pot Shuvit, James Holden, Hardfloor, Blendbrank, Jacob Todd, Yvel&Tristan, Starecase, Chimera.

The mixing is excellent and so is the programming.

                      Better than Reykjavik IMO

                        Re: Nick Warren GU028

^ and I'm gonna be a real cheeseball and resurrect this thread to see if anyone has any further comments nearly 4 months on?

This Cd, to me, is starting to become a standout in the series. By far my favourite Warren effort (and I loved 24 and 11). I really hope this isnt his last Gu, but if it is what a way to go out.

Some absolutely amazing songs on this package, I change my mind every week on what is my favourite:

Alex Stealthy-Once (Sunseeker) - so fucking melodic its untrue

Jacob Todd - Somehow - amazing haunting vocal

Pot Shuvit - Conversations - why are there no other dj's playing this?

Anyone with any thoughts? CD of the year IMO

I love Nick warren and i adore way out west . But this isn't the point i'm getting at .

All resurections i think should need 5 ppl gathered at a table and at least two weigi boards and one moderator casting his judgement from the underworld b4 they are allowed life to be breathed back into them .

                          jk. my favourite too

Music...it?s one of the greatest gifts from God that embraces our sorrows, relieves our worries, strengthens our mind, encourages our soul, builds our character, intrigues our wisdom and challenges our experiences. Music is a way of life.
