I always prefer that a dj chooses to mix a few long but really quality tracks that each stand out on its own, than a lot more shorter tracks, which are mostly filler anyway
looking at the dj mxing culture in the last decade the trend of putting tons of tracks in a mix has become a standard, and isn't it a bit annoying?
obviously not everybody does this, but most do, and i really wonder why? is it the matter of the attention span? do people really get bored that quickly that they need to hear a new track every 3-4 min instead of 7-8 min?
