I actually managed to catch this at TIFF last month.
It's a so-so movie that relies a lot of Tom Hardy's stunt casting as the Kray twins and he does a pretty decent job (even he's a bit over the top as the psychotic half of the Kray twins). The problem lies in the direction - it was pretty routine as far as being shot and look, but the "wow" factor just isn't there.
Back in 1990 or 1989, they did a much better version of this called The Krays, and actually cast twins in the lead role (they were from the band Spandau Ballet), who didn't really have much, if any acting experience. It looks really dated, but the film does a better, less routine job of telling their story and how they rose up in the British criminal underworld.
If you're a fan of Hardy, by all means, go see it - he's quite good in it, but he's really the only really good thing about it.Score so far: Owned ZoverTard 8 times - twice in one week! Twice more in same weekend.
