On his rider [Aphex Twin] clearly mentions that he will be in charge of the sound system and that nobody was allowed to interfere. At the time we had what was maybe the biggest Funktion One rig in the world, so this was a big ask.

He arrived on Sunday afternoon to soundcheck and was so fucking loud that the ceiling in the venue came crashing down.

I can't see it being as successful at Sankeys. It's not even on a Sunday. We Love's success was due to the fact it was an all dayer at Space on Sunday, now it's neither of them things. Looks like Cocoon will be the hottest ticket on the island from now on.

I was at the Sasha night when the power went out! It wasn't Nick Warren playing with him, it was Lee Burridge. First track when power came on? Moby 'Southside'! That track over that system... plus the fact the club had half emptied gave that more meaningful "i was there moments".
