just got back last night and i know people have already chimed in....
dj three was ok...you cant really mess that time slot up can you? unless you crank the volume up to peak levels...
i had never seen miss collins before though. she played nothing but back to back vocal tracks the first hour and lots of tracks a few months old but the crowd was hands in the air and cheering for almost every track. i would have never thought you could open for someone with so many vocal tracks and leave them anywhere to go but she was just perfect. i loved it, and i loved that she played stuff thats not ONLY hot off the press. you always critque DJs based on how new their stuff is but when you let that go and realize that someones just being a good "DJ" and tearing the place up something amazing happens-YOU START HAVING A REALLY GOOD TIME. go figure. she closed with mr. brightside and the crowd ate that up too. way to go sandra, im def. a new fan.
sasha...sasha...sasha....so much is written about him and it seems SO polar that im almost afraid to say this because im a critical enthusiast. but in my sober condition....tired and pissed at security at crobar....with no place to ever relax....SASHA WAS PHENOMENAL!!!!!! im so excited i may have spelled that wrong and im not even going to check it!!!...really...for all the off the wall essential mixes and other evenings ive caught of "what the f was that?(IMO)" he proved to me once again that theres a reason hes the man and that he surely deserves to be the king he is. i had such a good time and for me it was near perfect. (i just believe he needs to let go of wavy gravy...its ok sasha...we know thats your song...we know)
the cherry on top was that at 6am what had to be 3 girls from scores next door started dancin all over each other right in front of my friend and i..amen.
