    02. Lauren Lane - Cool Kids (Nic Fanciulli & Butch Remix) (The Lost Mixes Part 3) [Saved Records | SAVED124]

After a two and half year absence, The Lost Mixes makes a welcome return to Saved Records. Part 3 has come to fruition after a recent trip to the Saved vaults unearthed two hidden gems that simply demanded the right to see the light of day with a proper release. Nic Fanciulli & Butch’s lost remix of Lauren Lane’s “Cool Kids” and Mark Fanciulli’s “8 Track” Terrace Mix finally stand up to take the limelight they deserve.

Nic Fanciulli & Butch hone in on “Cool Kids” distinctive bassline for their delightfully playful remix. Keeping it simple, the pair inject a sense of swing into the grove courtesy of jostling beats and a frenetic top end. Laidback and fun, the remix finds a highly addictive quality through its own simplicity.

Mark Fanciulli ramps up the energy and dives headfirst into an unadulterated driving techno groove on “8 Track." Echoed brass parts and impassioned vocals fill the remix with a carnival spirit that runs right the way through the booming 4/4s and deep, driving basslines that provide the backbone.

    Released by: Saved Records
    Release date: 15 June 2015

    03. Steve Bug - Coconut Paradise (Original Mix) [Poker Flat Recordings | PFR161]

Not content with presiding over three outstanding labels - Dessous, Audiomatique and Poker Flat (now in its 16th year) - and dusting down his long-dormant Traffic Signs pseudonym for the brilliant 'Cookie Jar', Steve Bug finds time in his schedule to spoil you with another stellar release.

    Release Date: 18 May 2015

    04. Ki.Mi. - Like Me [Danse Club Records | DCR028]

Advance promo of a new track from Saint-Petersburg's Ki.Mi which follows on from a winning remix entry for Danse Club of Brodanse's ‘Train Of Thought Feat. Elli’.

    05. Marc Romboy - Counting Comets [Bedrock Records | Beddigi64]

"Electronic muzik is my life!" Marc Romboy

In its quest to release exceptional, forward-thinking electronic music, John Digweeds Bedrock label constantly joins forces with some of the worlds finest artists. One name missing, until now, has been Düsseldorfs world-renowned DJ/Producer, Marc Romboy, whose deep, engaging house and techno sounds mark him out as a true maverick.

Label debuts don't come bigger than this, Counting Comets Part 1 is an electronic opus that channels the spirit of early original electronic innovators (such as Kraftwerk) and creates a truly futuristic vision: hypnotic, cinematic, a fantastical journey towards utter dancefloor delirium and beyond. The spiritual beauty and flowing energy of Osiris is no less wondrous, its subtle melancholic euphoria and deeply delicious groove will make it a standout selection anywhere.

"I love to DJ all over the globe, because I like the way that everybody understands and lives the same language, the universal language of techno or house music. " Marc Romboy

Electronic music with a certain piece of soul - reminiscent of old school Chicago/Detroit dance floor insanity - is Marc Romboys true passion. He has been a distinctive presence in the house/techno scene for two decades, launching two ground-breaking labels, Le Petit Prince (1994) and Systematic (2004), and presenting his weekly radio show "Systematic Sessions" (since 2009), never tiring of coming up with fresh and innovative ideas to push the limits of electronic sounds. Marc Romboys exceptional Bedrock debut is one to treasure for a long time to come.

Also, listen out for a stunning downtempo version of Counting Comets Part 2 coming in July on Bedrocks Underground Sound Of Ibiza 2 3xCD compilation album release.

    Released by: Bedrock Records
    Release date: 15 June 2015

    06. Kiwi feat Takura - Fossa (Animals EP) [Blasé Boys Club | Promo]

Alex Warren aka Kiwi returns to London imprint Blasé Boys Club following 2014's The Mara EP and fresh from remicing WhoMadeWho's Dreams on Fayer [FAY003].

    07. Art Department - Walls (Dj Tennis Remix) [No.19 Music | Promo]

The Life & Death co-founder DJ Tennis has taken no prisoners with his Art Department edit and hits you from the off with staggered percussion, ominous underlying chords and side-winding synth riffs.

    08. Love Over Entropy - Tucaroya Pt2 [SoHaSo | free download]

Free download comes from SoHaSo (Something Happening Somewhere) artist, Love Over Entropy, whose SoHaSo 001 & 006 releases have really put them on the deep house radar. With their recent Tonii EP, none other than Dixon issued his own reworking of the mythical tale. At the flipside of that EP was Tucaroya Pt1, which drove into new levels of deepness. Now, Love Over Entropy and SoHaSo have provided up with the tracks follow up, Tucaroya Pt. 2.

After a more than impressive debut with SoHaSo 001, Love Over Entropy took up the role of modern day bard with SoHaSo 006, chronicling Tonii’s story for those willing to listen. In case you missed that one, all there is to know is encapsulated in its 12.5 minute timespan: an emotional, ever climbing rollercoaster of longing and joy. Pure melancholy.

If that wasn’t enough, a retelling of the myth came from non other than the mighty Dixon. Rearranging the essential elements of Tonii, he was able to condense and intensify the original, making it a tool for all kinds of dance floor situations.

Tucaroya part 1 sits at the back of that EP, taking things to an even further level of depth. As Love Over Entropy says himself, Tucaroya part 1 is ‘’dedicated to the little things that make up a human life.’’ Now, we present a very special FREE DOWNLOAD featuring the continuation of the Tucaroya narrative with Tucaroya part 2. This time around, Love Over Entropy kick up bpm’s a bit, with a steadily rising, synthy number, seemingly tailer made for the warehouse, as well as the main stage.

    09. Groove Armada - Love Sweet Sound (Kölsch Remix) [Moda Black | Promo]

Moda Black's Little Black Book series was inspired by the desire for a new, more diverse, more personal platform for artists to express themselves. An album, remix album, compilation, mix series, autobiography and photo-book all rolled into one - a chance for artists to reveal a wealth of new material, whilst also dipping into their back-catalogue and allowing it to be re-imagined by new artists. The Little Black Book gets inside the artists' minds and looks to the future and what's to come.

For the second edition of Little Black Book, the reigns have been handed to the prolific and much loved Groove Armada. From late 80s inspiration at the free parties of house collective DiY to the worldwide success of six albums, long summers in Ibiza and global live tours - with such a storied history, it's hard to image where they'd even begin with a project like this.

"People were saying if you're going to write new material you need to put it out on a major, get the band back together, unleash the machine. But we don't want to do that. We want to play and make house music, and that's all'.

The mix on CD1 is made up of 100% GA originals and remixes. A 77 minute journey that includes 7 exclusives, a Tony Allen jam, Candi Staton, a Balearic remake of a GA classic and their rework of Arthur Baker anthem, Rockers Revenge.

The second disc then sees 12 excellent producers redefine classic Groove Armada records, resulting in some spectacular new versions of tracks like 'Love Sweet Sound', 'Superstylin', 'Chicago and 'I See You Baby' from the likes of Kolsch, andhim, Huxley, Jaymo & Andy George, Joris Voorn, PillowTalk, Emperor Machine, Marco Faraone, Chaim, Hauswerks, Walker & Royce and wAFF.

Included in the special notebook version of the release is Andy Catos account of the GA journey from Castlemorton to L.A. - one that has taken them right back to the start. Dawn on the South Downs, 1990, locked in the rolling house sound of the parties that would define a generation.

This release was mastered direct from vinyl at the request of the DJ and as such features natural sound characteristics of this medium such as record surface noise.
