I guess that we'll agree to disagree on this one. I've found more 3-dimensional music lately than I've found in several years. For me, there's so much thought-provoking music out there it's ridiculous.

I haven't listened to this week's show and don't really pay attention to specific genres, but like other people have said, whatever sounds good is what I want to hear.

I've been really digging what Pole Folder has been playing, as I'm sure a few others have as well.

You can't have manslaughter without laughter.

"Son," he said without preamble, "never trust a man who doesn't drink because he's probably a self-righteous sort, a man who thinks he knows right from wrong all the time. Some of them are good men, but in the name of goodness, they cause most of the suffering in the world. They're the judges, the meddlers. And, son, never trust a man who drinks but refuses to get drunk. They're usually afraid of something deep down inside, either that they're a coward or a fool or mean and violent. You can't trust a man who's afraid of himself. But sometimes, son, you can trust a man who occasionally kneels before a toilet. The chances are that he is learning something about humility and his natural human foolishness, about how to survive himself. It's damned hard for a man to take himself too seriously when he's heaving his guts into a dirty toilet bowl."

I'm extremely happy with what I've been hearing lately. Check out stuff on the Sentient Audio Collective label as well as stuff from Habersham, Fanciulli, Tiefschwarz, Michael Mayer, Alex Smoke, Martin H, Damian Lazarus, MANDY, etc, etc, etc. I could fill an entire page with music that I thoroughly enjoy right now. I don't like every track that these artists put out or play, but they're very, very consistent.

maybe you guys can also use this chance to branch out to some different music as well. I have been listening to a band called Volta Do Mar recently, and Godspeed You Black Emperor, and Mercury Program. I think you would enjoy all of these bands. Also, check out Steve Reich, or Brian Eno, I know it's not new, but it may be new to you.

Re: Diggers Kiss100 show last night

Agree with Digweeds first two tracks.....very good and atmospheric. But yes it did go downhill after that,i didnt even bother listenin to the last 20 minutes.

Do agree with the comment of having to listen with an open mind though - there are so many producers and tracks out there the quality should be getting better not worse. My gf listens to all those MoS compilations of funky house etc and some of the tunes on there aint too bad - they have rhythm and soul and usually a decent vocal as well.

Also agree with the pole folder comments - his kiss mix rocks

Re: Diggers Kiss100 show last night

hey guys, just finished listening to the mix is question. Maybe is was my mood, or good sound system or something, but I thought the entire mix rocked. I agree the beginning 22 minutes or so was awesome, but I thought it kept right on going with some great energy.

I am looking forward to seeing him Tuesday (hopefully I can get in).
