So I was up in Montreal over the weekend for the Formula One race and to my very pleasent surprise Sasha was playing at Aria on Sat night!! Wow, as if the F1 race wasn't enough, and the fact that MTL is such an awesome city, and partys so hard for the GP anyway, add to that my favorite DJ in town!!
The bill was actually Steve Porter, Sasha, then Tall Paul. I tried to get to the club in time for Porter, but it just didn't happen. I also missed about 20 min of Sasha,
For the record: Sasha KILLED IT! The set got better and better with each track and it sounded to me like he was throwing tons of effects over it. The only 2 tracks I could spot were Wavy Gravy (of course) and he played the Plastikman track from his recent Essential Mix at the end of his set.
Tall Paul got on after and changed up the vibe in a big way. It sounded good, but since it was 7:30 and the race began at 1:00 I broke out for some much needed sleep.
The race was also great, and I have some good pics I will post a little later since I know we have some F1 fans here on [mn].
Overall it was an amazing weekend and I'm already anxious to go back next year.
