Italian duo Gianni Bini & Fulvio Perniola started recording and producing together as Fathers Of Sound in 1991. During the early to mid 1990's they gained a reputation for releasing records that sat between pure house, deep house and even progressive house. This made them very popular with a wide range of DJ's including Graeme Park, Sasha & Digweed, Danny Rampling and Junior Vasquez amongst hundreds of others. Another feature to their music was the inclusion of different types of guitars - electric, sitar and flamenco were all used to add elements of live musicianship in a world of computer samples.
During the mid 1990's their remix skills were highly sought after, and the pair managed to release over 100 remixes as well as several of their own EP's and records. F.O.S. were also asked to mix the famous Renaissance Mix Collection CD volume 3, following up from John Digweed's volume 2.
Every track on this mix was either produced, released or remixed by Fathers Of Sound between 1993 and 1997.

As always this mix was recorded live using two Technics 1210's and an Allen & Heath Xone 22 mixer. No Italians were harmed during the process of recording this mix.
